Well, I went to have a good old moan in the 'anyone awake' thread, and found it has been closed. So, here is a new one.
I'm awake, I have a headache, I'm at work, so can't go prowling around, and I know tomorrow is going to be a terrible day.

Anniebach Sat 30-Dec-17 03:55:28

Arm healing thanks, was on antibiotics so couldn't have antacids, they upped the Ensure, still disturbed sleep but reflux not as bad . Back on food and reflux worse again.

WilmaKnickersfit Sat 30-Dec-17 03:50:08

That sounds about right! What about your arm? Is it healing OK? I was thinking about you struggling to eat enough and wondered if this made you a slow healer (hope that's not too personal).

Anniebach Sat 30-Dec-17 03:39:53

Hello Wilma, sorry you still have the cough . Puppy and Lottie getting on well and I am pleased Lottie is wearing a I'm In .Charge badge.

Reflux bad tonight, I hate chicken now, I hate food

WilmaKnickersfit Sat 30-Dec-17 03:08:29

Can't stop coughing so made a cup of tea. I don't drink normal tea or coffee, but I have found a tropical tea by Tetleys that's nice.

I read on here about ginger tea, so DH got some ginger root today for me to try.

Hope you are all in the Land of Nod. Zzzzzzzz

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 29-Dec-17 23:31:44

How are things with you Annie? Is your arm healing? How is your new poppet getting on? Is she best friends yet with Lottie or has Lottie had enough of her yet and told her to behave? tchgrin

Anniebach Fri 29-Dec-17 20:17:22

Nfk, I like it ?

NfkDumpling Fri 29-Dec-17 20:08:23

With all you have been and are going through I’m not at all surprised you don’t sleep well. If we ever make all the millions we’re supposed to if we eventually Brexit, I think the Government should be able to arrange for NHS Mollycodlers to come and pamper people who’ve been pushed to the Edge in their own homes until they are fit enough to shout that they’re fed up with being smothered and push them out of the door.

Anniebach Fri 29-Dec-17 08:51:43

Nfk, no I no,longer sleep in the day but do,little so suppose it could be called day rest.

BlueBelle Fri 29-Dec-17 08:21:31

I don’t kñow what happened there I went to bed at 11 and I don’t remember waking up till 7 if I did it must have been briefly as I have no memory But this is unheard of ever

NfkDumpling Fri 29-Dec-17 08:17:32

I hope you've managed to get back to sleep Annie. Do you snooze at all during the day? DH is often awake too (for him it's back pain etc.) but then makes up for it with an after lunch 'nap' and often an evening snooze. His sleep pattern is completely random now. Staying awake during the day makes no difference to how long he sleeps at night.

I hope you're asleep now and wake refreshed.

Anniebach Fri 29-Dec-17 03:55:34

3.40am, so tired, depression getting worse , Wilma and crafting hope you are asleep now

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 29-Dec-17 02:30:12

I'm back home in my own bed, but not asleep yet either. Still full of the cold and cough is keeping me awake. I look irresistible with tissue stuck up both nostrils! tchgrin

Crafting I don't have tinnitus but my throat wheezes all the time and it's bad just now because of the coughing. I only found out recently that my DH can hear the noise! I'm going to try my audio book and hopefully it will cover up the sound. Hope everyone gets some sleep. moon

Crafting Fri 29-Dec-17 02:14:48

Not been to sleep yet. One of those nights when my tinnitus is on high volume and my mind to busy to sleep. Hope no one else joins me and you all sleep well tonight'

cornergran Thu 28-Dec-17 05:33:04

I’m lucky annie, don’t have reflux to wake me. With luck I’ll be back to sleep in an hour or so, hope you can also get some rest. X

Anniebach Thu 28-Dec-17 05:29:42

Hello cornergran x sorry your hurting. It's reflux yet again for me .

cornergran Thu 28-Dec-17 05:20:29

Been awake for half an hour, morning annie, with luck no one else is awake. I’m lucky, no reflux although I do hurt more than usual. Went out with the family in the snow, think I was so tense in case I fell over that I’ve made the usual pains worse. Still, worth it if jolly cold.

Anniebach Thu 28-Dec-17 05:09:23

5.00am, quite this morning, that's good,

carol58 Wed 27-Dec-17 13:56:48

Oh dear, bless you annsixty, it makes my current problems seem petty by comparison. My stepmum had Alzheimer's so I understand how it is. You are never 'off duty' , even in the middle of the night and it's so exhausting. The refux thing is a, pain (literally!) for so many of us but I didn't help myself by hitting the wine last night. I'll never learn that the short term benefits of alcohol arn't worth the agony after!

Billybob4491 Wed 27-Dec-17 04:58:15

Its 5.00am, my signing in time yet again, husband tooing and froing to the bathroom all night (thank you sennacot tablets) busy day ahead. press on regardless.

NanKate Wed 27-Dec-17 04:45:29

I too am awake but this is due to having a throat infection that is causing my throat to be a combination of sore and tickling, combined with a cough. I am trying terribly hard not to cough and wake DH. I’m sure shortly I will get up and make a cuppa, maybe warm liquid will help.

I feel for you regulars with sleep problems, especially reflux which sounds dreadful. And also you Ann with your DH.

Betty Davis was right when she said ‘old age isn’t for wimps’ or something similar.

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 27-Dec-17 04:40:30

I'm here too. Did drop off sitting up in bed, so got a good couple of hours before I too visited the smallest room.

Fingers crossed annsixty that you are able to get out for a little while later.

Very still outside just now. Just read about the Midlands getting snow. Hope it clears away before we drive home.

Hope you are getting some sleep.

Anniebach Wed 27-Dec-17 04:22:10

Retched reflux. Sorry so many awake tonight .

annsixty Wed 27-Dec-17 04:07:52

A combination of things Carol, my H has Alzheimer's and I can't leave him for long, we don't have a car now and I am somewhat incapacitated due to osteoarthritis, being 80 doesn't help!!
I really don't get out much unless a good friend takes me and I get to the shops by taxi.
Ad you say ,oh to be young and fit again.

carol58 Wed 27-Dec-17 03:06:47

Oh and sorry to hear you're trapped in the house. Is that due to a physical problem or did you mean nobody to go out with?

carol58 Wed 27-Dec-17 03:02:33

I'm awake too annsixty. Things on my mind - family problems - and my reflux is bad tonight too. Oh to be young, fit & problem free again.....
