Well, I went to have a good old moan in the 'anyone awake' thread, and found it has been closed. So, here is a new one.
I'm awake, I have a headache, I'm at work, so can't go prowling around, and I know tomorrow is going to be a terrible day.

Marydoll Wed 03-Jan-18 07:06:23

I too resisted logging on in the hope that someone would be awake. The pain in my hands from my RA was driving me to distraction. I would have woken DH if I got up to log on, so just lay there, putting the world to rights!
Maw, I'm glad you are sleeping a bit better.
I'm sorry, Anne that things are so difficult for you just now.
Take care. flowers

annsixty Wed 03-Jan-18 05:31:56

I have had about 3 hours sleep but have refrained from logging on until now.
This has been a pattern for a week or so now.
My mind will not settle and it is very wild and windy.
My problems seen unsolvable, family matters are getting me really down and are so much worse in the early hours.
Oh well not too long away now until it is time to start another day.

MawBroon Wed 03-Jan-18 04:43:23

I have been sleeping much better of late, tending only to wakeful spells between 5 and 7 when, if it was summer I suppose I could get up!
But apart from the fact that it is blowing a hooley down here in Somerset, why have I now been awake since 4?
I suppose I do have a lot on my mind but it would be a total exaggeration to say I was fretting, just WIDE AWAKE sad

Does anyone out there suffer (as I do!) from misophonia?

JaneD3 Wed 03-Jan-18 04:10:53

Pleased that I am the first to post tonight - I hope you are all fast asleep!

Just typed a reply and it's disappeared confused

Hope the night nurse works wilma

I agree shirleyw iPads are wonderful but a good night's sleep would be better grin

When I feel all fidgety I try sleeping on top of the duvet with a light blanket. Makes it easier to move around. Hope you sleep missadventure

WilmaKnickersfit Tue 02-Jan-18 05:08:54

Actually Crafting I also have a neck problem, so a neck roll is handy.

Hi to Shirley and MissA.

Just taken some nightnurse (DH's favourite) and that's quietened the throat wheeze a bit, so this is a chance to drop off.

Hope you all get some zzzzzzzz in the end.

MissAdventure Tue 02-Jan-18 04:57:24

Awake. My bed feels all uncomfortable. sad

Shirleyw Tue 02-Jan-18 04:12:00

Morning...shame about your throat keeping you awake.....hope it improves soon......awoke at 2.45 and now wide awake, so annoying.....thinking of things to worry about ?. So, made a cuppa and sitting up with iPad.....iPads are a marvellous invention lol...

We have a reclining chair which is quite comfy and I often sit in that and manage to doze off. I agree with sitting up in bed though, can't usually fall asleep like that unless I am propped up with umpteen pillows. Just wondered if you have tried rolling up a towel and wrapping it round your neck. I know you have a sore throat not a neck problem but I find that it sometimes helps me sleep when I'm sitting up as it supports my neck and stops my head jerking when I nod off for a minute.

Thank you - pinched it from the Terry Wogan breakfast show from years ago.

Sorry about your upset stomach.

I find it hard to sleep sitting up, but it would help if I could crack it. Just need to find a comfy position.

Hello wilma (love your name by the way grin). Sorry you are feeling so bad. I am wide awake, no sleep for me tonight. Hop your throats gets better soon.

Morning to anyone lurking here. Desperate to get sleep tonight. Can't keep my eyes open, but my throat is making too much noise for me to drop off. Arrrgh.

It's 2018. Can't believe it.

Crafting Tue 02-Jan-18 03:35:42

Hopefully I will be the only one on here tonight which would mean you are all getting some sleep. I've not slept so far. Been to bed but got upset stomach and so finding it easier to sit in a chair.

Happy New Year to everyone. Haven’t needed to be here for a few nights so not too irritable tonight. Awake an hour or so, perhaps four hours asleep. Hope the tummies and coughs have settled. Our bodies can be such a nuisance at times. Goodness annie your system truly doesn’t get along well with food. Wishing you all better sleep in 2018.

JaneD3 Mon 01-Jan-18 05:21:34

Happy New Year everyone! Struggling with bursitis which keeps me awake and the meds for it which upset my tummy!

WilmaKnickersfit Mon 01-Jan-18 03:35:25

Honking seal cough still stopping me from sleeping very long, but it's time to try again!

Happy New Year to everybody and best wishes to you for 2018!

I've never posted on this site because, luckily, I seldom suffer from insomnia but I DO read it and notice that some of you are finding it hard to sleep because of heartburn and reflux, so I wondered if you had heard about the treatment called IQoro. I haven't tried it personally, although I may do so at some time because I've developed what the doctors call an unco-ordinated gullet, but it's a simple exercise system before meals which seems from medical reports to have a really good success rate and does away with the need for drugs. It might be worth looking it up on the internet.

Have put on a little bit of weight since drinking the Ensure but was having headaches all day, no Ensure for three days, no headaches.

Food doesn't like me ,rice causes hives, chicken causes brick feeling in abdomen, there must be something . Thanks x

Crafting Sun 31-Dec-17 08:17:55

Can you eat eggs annie? Maybe a light omelette. Plain rice or dry toast. Sorry, you've probably tried everything already. Glad to hear Lottie and Phoebe getting on well.

WilmaKnickersfit Sun 31-Dec-17 05:43:50

Sorry to hear that you're still struggling with eating. flowers

I think I've just slept for a good 3 solid hours which is most welcome.

Anniebach Sun 31-Dec-17 03:25:00

3.15am. Chicken is now off the menu. What the hell is going on, had to stop Ensure , headaches all day, tired of trying

WilmaKnickersfit Sat 30-Dec-17 04:18:10

I know what it's like when your medication conflicts. I take Esomeprazol and follow all the advice, but I still end up being sick from coughing. It is what it is. I sneezed earlier and my new crown shot out of my mouth! tchshock
