Maw - love your sing-a-long song grin It's all gone quiet from the chara gang, they must be having a wee nap after the arduous journey. It was suggested I flashed a bit of leg and the driver would squeeze me in. However, what I thought was the GN transport was actually a police van and I was arrested for disorderly conduct grin

Nice to see you back again PoshGran

annsixty Sat 21-Oct-17 20:24:49

callgirl definitely lowered the tone?
I am unable to join you?
I am desolate about that but "needs must when the devil drives" I hope you all understand that old saying.
Have a wonderful time in Norfolk, I am very envious.
I am very envious of anybody who is having fun.

Are we nearly there yet?
I feel sick envy must have had too much cupcake
Oh, oh, oh I need a wee!
Please stop the coach!

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 17:21:27

I have just realised how late it is. The 'puter should have been closed down long ago. I've important stuff to do. Pity that I can't remember what it is. I blame the booze in the bottle labelled Tizer.

I'm leaving you lot in the capable hands of N&G . I've a hangover to nurse. Find me a chaise in a darkened room. Please keep the decibels down. I'm feeling fragile. grin moon

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 17:16:42

I blame callgirl1 for lowering the tone, 'though she spiced things up somewhat.

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 17:14:13

Charleyg This afternoon's exceeding small talk has put a gentle blush on many a cheek. And I'm not referring to the piper! shock

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 17:11:00

Mind you, I've no idea where we're going to put him at bedtime. N&G won't stand for any 'anky panky/rumpy pumpy on their premises.

Charleygirl Sat 21-Oct-17 17:08:48

callgirl please do not put ideas into this lots heads. After today's disgraceful performance many will not be allowed near soops kitchen for a long time.

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 17:07:30

callgirl1 I interviewed several candidates. Top priority was what was worn not worn under the kilt. I'm sure that you'll take my word for his splendid credentials.

callgirl1 Sat 21-Oct-17 16:30:49

Now that`s what I CALL a housewarming present! I hope he`s traditional and not wearing anything under that kilt?

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 16:27:09

Forgot to mention that I've brought a piper along. He's all kilted and ready to rock.

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 16:24:57

callgirl We shall miss you. I'm certain that your evening meal will be, unlike ours, civilised. grin

Charleygirl Sat 21-Oct-17 16:23:22

callgirl if we had not run out of seats on the two buses you could have brought your DDs also.

Crafting my sincerest apologies but I had the builders here and although I multi task, today was difficult. I totally forgot about you.

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 16:23:18

kitty The kitchen does peaceful in spades. However, when we get invited to spend time traipsing around N&G's new place, admiring the décor and such, cramming ourselves around her table for a three course banquet complete with starched linen napkins, aperitifs, sparkling white, well-rounded red wines and a decent Port, best coffee and After Eights to nibble on (in case we're still hungry) followed by a bed with rose petals scattered over the pillows and full Kentish breakfast in the morning, we can't be expected to bore ourselves silly in the kitchen. Agreed? Agreed!

callgirl1 Sat 21-Oct-17 15:36:40

How peaceful the kitchen is now all the noisy beggars have gone off on their charabanc trip, poor N&G, what a shock they have in store! I had to cry off from going to Norfolk as I`m going out for a meal tonight with daughters 2 and 3 and 2 of my daughter`s friends.
Hope you all have a rip roaring time in peaceful(?) Norfolk.

Me too kitty and charley promised to save a place for me on the bus. Still it's not too bad on the back of your broomstick but I do wish you'd stop swooping up and down so much. It's hard enough to hang on myself let alone clutching this bottle of wine and a nice big chocolate cake. What do you mean shall we stop for a quick wine ? there'll be no drunk flying with me on board thank you grin

kittylester Sat 21-Oct-17 14:55:12

The world has gone crazy!! I though Soop's kitchen was a place of calmness and peace! And you've all gone without me - I'll have to follow on my broomstick. wine

Charleygirl Sat 21-Oct-17 14:43:46

Who slurped all of those bottles of wine? I am beginning to think that the other cafe numbers will be growing because it is supposed to be the refayned here, not half of you unruly lot. As soop said those bottles were for N&G or should I say more importantly for us to drink with our evening meal.

I do feel a bit guilty having not told N&G about the diabetics, those on a Gluten Free diet, and many other diets I have never heard of but she will cope.

I have never been to Norfok, there is a first for everything. I hope that the bed is comfortable and I will be warm enough. I do not want to share with any of you lot but I have no problems with Sam and Hattie and any other dog who wants and needs my love and attention.

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 14:22:25

This picnic hamper of freshly baked buns and such feels a lot lighter than it did when we boarded the charra. The wine bottles are empty. Own up! Who didn't understand that the label attached said...a gift for N&G from Us lot. I'll be jiggered. It's been a very long time since I was jiggered. I may need to lie down on the smart new sofa.wink

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 14:18:04

Maw Should we forewarn the newly moved-ins of our imminent arrival? To be honest, I think that they'll enjoy opening the door to the yells of "Surprise! Surprise!" "Hic!" Should we take our shoes off if the door remains open long enough for us lot to barge step lightly over the threshold.

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 14:13:23

PoshGran Us lot have missed you.

soop Sat 21-Oct-17 14:12:18

PoshGran Hop aboard the charra. Best bring the goodies with you. You can't be too careful. Leaving delicious delights on the side is asking for trouble. There'll be nowt left but a heap of crumbs when we get back.grin

PoshGran Sat 21-Oct-17 13:41:16

Knock, knock....., anyone still in the kitchen, or are you lot all squeezed in/on/ (& possibly behind on roller skates) the bus destined to new abodes? If so, may a recently necessarily absent Kitchener pop some home-made warm scones & crab-apple jelly on the side to await your return?
