When I serve my grandson the sausages he likes so much, and then watch as he carefully cuts the ends off each one and places them at the side of his plate, because Daddy says that the end bits are where the pig's nose and tail are!
Cooking my son a favourite lunch when he visits and seeing him polish it off. I still get a huge kick out of feeding my adult children!
To listen to DH singing lovely songs - with all the wrong words, which he makes up as he goes along because he can't remember the right ones! Never has been able to.

The look on their faces of the walkers in front of me when they turned round and saw that Kieth,who I had cursed loudly at and threatened to take all his toys away if he ever hit me with a big stick again..was my crazy dog with half a branch in his mouth running past.

We recently had a family get together at DS2's home. 20 month old GS was very worried about a fake fur rug. He knew the word 'rug', but then said Cat? Meow? When we explained that 'No, it isn't a cat. like a cat, but NOT a cat,' he then said 'Dog'? Woof? ' still looking very worried. The sight of DS1 and girlfriend on their hands and knees, patting the rug, stroking the rug, rolling on the rug and stomping on it in order to help allay his fears ...and the happy relief and sense of gained confidence in him when he overcame his fear and joined in, still makes me smile and smile.l think we will have a lot of 'tease' value with rugs when he is older too.
