Definitely needs a nice anonymous forum, this! My daughter-in-law is pregnant! 11 years married to my DS, both very workaholic career people, she's now 42. I knew they had tried and it hadn't happened, but I had thought that was it, no children for them. She's just coming up to 12 weeks and they haven't told anyone other than us yet, so I can only share on here. Now I am so, so happy for them, and just very anxious that nothing goes wrong. Thank you, you may now clap.

Congratulations. My son and his wife had a baby in July after being married for 14 years. They are 36 and 39. Like you I hadn't expected it after all this time.
It was such a wonderful surprise for everyone.

I understand your excitement, my mum cried when I told her I was pregnant after 11 yrs of trying.
