I have spent today on the phone, on hold, listening to music I don't like talking to people who seemingly don't care and I am about to make a bid for world domination because I must be able to do it better than they are !!!

1. Missing wool . Order last week to finish off a baby blanket, supposedly delivered on the 18th. Every one washes their hands of it. No wool. No sign of wool. Not even a card through the door saying we left your wool in the bin !!!

No phone number to contact them- only email - email response says 'we love you BUT it'll take 3 days to answer your email !!

2. I inadvertently placed 4 orders for 2 toys( their web site was playing up) . I noticed it straight away. Rang them. Asked them to cancel 3 and send me the 4th. They can't , now, find any orders at all... I must have imagined it !!!!!

3. Leaving the best till last. My daughter is camping in Cornwall. Their fridge blew up Saturday and as she is an organised young woman she had had a weeks groceries delivered. Help please Mum. I found a place in Cornwall, ordered it on Sunday for next day delivery Tuesday.

I rang to check the delivery time today - ummmmm the courier had lost it . ITS NOT AN ENVELOPE ....its a FRIDGE!!!! BUT ...( all is not lost) they think they'll find it by tomorrow????????

Just had a phone call to say 'no- its totally lost' - would it be all right to send a new one out tomorrow for delivery on Thursday????

My daughter could have crawled to the actual shop on her knees over broken glass by then if she has started out on Sunday !!!!!

( For those wondering why she didn't just drive there - its been a catalogue of disasters and their clutch blew 36 miles from the campsite on Saturday , so the car wont be back until Thursday morning.

I love online shopping , truly I do , but on days like this I want to stomp into a physical store, grab a shop assistant round the throat and pound their head on the counter!

Too much?smile

Thank god tomorrows another day - now anyone want a half finished baby blanket or some rapidly defrosting fishfingers?????

Better to rant at us than the poor Tele staff.
When it all goes wrong together it is so frustrating.

Oh yes, N&G, been there! DH has just had 3 attempts at buying something online, and you can't just buy, you have to sign into your account. First time it didn't recognise his password. Reset password. Second and third times, didn't recognise new password either. And each time, you get as far as checkout (but fortunately before adding card details) before it says the electronic equivalent of F* O*!

Good luck with the world domination thing; you will be a lot better than what we have now, and I look forward to a brighter online future! winewine

Our story this week. Knew we would not be at work on Friday so went on courier site and changed delivery to Monday. Get to work on Monday to find note from courier 'left parcel at xxxx'. This xxx business is only open on Wed to Friday, so no parcel until then - it was urgent.

Why do they offer the facility to change delivery date and then ignore it?

Couriers and customer service do not go together.
