I've got one ( cook and chauffeur combined) I've had him for 37 years [grin)

I don't want any stuff but would love to be able to employ a cook and a chauffeur.

A chauffeur would be nice . I would like room for a swimming pool at home. I would like to buy my dd&ds a family home .

Petra,the plane sounds good , trouble is my daughter lives in Sydney. How many stops for refuelling do you think we'd need?
I suppose if we could stay in top class hotels on the way we could cope?☺️

Is Nerja the place up the mountains in mainland Spain . We stayed in Benalmadena one year and went to it for a day if it's the place I'm thinking of , very pretty and has a bullring . Plenty of white houses dotted down the mountainsides.
As for money ,we would have a custom built 60feet long narrowboat and some one handy at every set of locks to help us take it through.

A chauffeur and a car. Being widowed and never learning to drive, I so much miss having a car (my OH was a good chauffeur).

We have a dining room - what are they for?

I think I'd have a new roof - just to be on the safe side.

We have a dining room vq - it usually has a sewing machine, a puzzle in progress etc on the table

An expensive new kitchen to my exacting design (requires knocking through a few walls etc) and I could stay at a lovely hotel whilst it's being re-fitted.
I could have a new kitchen but not to my exacting design and I can't face the mess.

Two, two bedroomed two bathroom nicely appointed flats - one near son and family the other near daughter and family and a comfortable car with a chauffer on hand 24 hours a day to whisk me between the two (approx 100 miles) at will.

The house doesn't need to be huge. Bedrooms for us and the children plus a spare room. A couple of bathrooms. A wet room. A comfortable lounge with a coal fire or wood stove, a dining room (for when I pretend to be posh ), a kitchen/diner, a utility room and a cloakroom.

Not that I've put a lot of thought into this

My own jet to fly me to a private fishing lodge on the Bighorn River a couple of times a year, with a chef, a guide and someone to keep the wildlife at bay!

A house in the country with spectacular views. A lady to clean and iron who I would pay well over the odds to because I'd feel guilty and a little man to do the garden. The garden would be big enough to be sectioned into different areas, have a rose garden and pond/s. It would also have a stream and tree area that would be like a fairy grotto. There would be hidden 'cupboards' around the garden so that garden furniture could be stored in different places so it didn't have to be moved too far. Also a summer house with a little stove for colder days and that can be rotated so you can choose the view.

I couldn't be more contented, I'm that sort of person. The OP was just a bit of fun.

I am well content with my lot and can afford most that I want, but I just entered into the spirit of the thread by admitting to my weaknesses, which are books and house renovation - but in this money no object world - with builders doing all the work, not me and DH.

Nothing so ostentatious as john travoltas Boeing, and certainly not on the lawn, heaven forbid no, a nice little Gulfstream would do me with a nice young handsome pilot and crew.

If money were no object I'd love a small villa in the hills above Nerja in Southern Spain. I'd quit work and divide my time between the UK and Spain. Throw in the odd shopping trip to America for a few new handbags and I'd be a happy bunny. I'd also employ a part time cleaner and handiman for both properties. .

Will you keep it in the garden like John Travolta petra? And fly it yourself or have your own pilot on hand?

You could keep it near the chlorinated swimming pool.

I could probably afford anything I want ,but there isn't anything I can think of .I buy loads of music ,see concerts ,buy books ...though I dont keep them anymore I gave all my books to the local high school when their library burned down....all 2000 of them and I like to have my wine rack well stocked ,even though I dont drink anymore.I buy for my kids and GC .I guess I'm I'm conented with what I have and how life is
