Tackling a personal subject such as "pooping" is very difficult for any advertiser so I can understand the need for humour .

Personally I have always had toilet issues (probably psychological more than anything) but would be willing to give one a try .

Maybe we should persuade Phoenix to do a consumer test and report back. (Sorry, consumer may be the wrong word)

elegran The advert is dreadful but I went to a pelvic health workshop last year run by physiotherapists that specialise in pelvic floor problems and she spoke at length about squatting as a natural position and less stressful on a weakened pelvic floor and so on. She recommended these stools (excuse the pun). Children naturally tend to want to squat when making a pooh. So the principle isn't ridiculous...

Good grief. I suppose if you have problems it's a good idea but I think most of us manage.

Looks like any stool (sorreeee!) the right height would do. I used proper squatty potties in Thailand. It is a more natural position. Think of those times you've squatted behind a bush out in the wilds.

I've heard of squatty potty before. I think it's great that this ad was made. It shows what happens and it's not offensive. It's a natural event after all - like eating and we see ads about that all the time! The more we see this ad perhaps the less embarrassed we will become!

The elimination of ice cream via the anus seems a step too far!

Via a Facebook page of a whole load of unusual products. Some of them were interesting, some useless. Then I came to that one. I didn't get any further as I knew it would tickle a few posters.

I don't find it very funny and I am not averse to silly "rude" toilet jokes.
With jokes like this "less is more" the longer it continues the less funny it becomes.
