What's wrong with 'pissing off the fairies'?

I personally would write a letter of complaint to Amazon and point out that it isn't just adults who buy fairy lights!. Good for dad, we need more dads like him!. Someone else today's post, discussing garden solar lights with a link to Amazon who have nice looking fairy solar lights reduced from something like £22 to £6 if you're quick.

Maybe "don't upset the fairies" might have been a bit "nicer" wording Anya. I get that "pissing off" is quite a common phrase but I wouldn't really want my DGC to use it.

My little grandson (7) has started to say "Jeeeeez" quite a lot. Sounds almost cute to me, when he says it but my mum would have been quite upset by it.

Personally I wouldn't want a sign like that in my garden - I don't think its amusing either. Its not really fitting with a 'fairy grotto' which I imagine should be all things bright and lovely.

I doubt very much that it will attract any wildlife wildlife, with or without the sign!

My GS1 (10) is building a fairy grotto in the garden. It's going to be quite elaborate with solar-powered fairy lights and general fairy bling. Luckily it's at the far end in a secluded corner and he also wants to encourage local wildlife, hedgehogs, squirrels, etc to use it.

He's seen a sign on Amazon saying 'Don't piss off the fairies!' which I thought was quite amusing but his dad has put a veto on buying that. I'd be quite happy for him to have it but I understand I mustn't go against my lovely SiL.

But I can't help feeling there's nothing wrong with this sign.

Is it me? hmm
