Ah, the concerted mind power of Gransnet knows no bounds. Three weeks ago I returned an item to John Lewis, via our local Waitrose shop. I had collected said item the previous day, but as it was not suitable, I returned it PDQ, and received a little card as a receipt. On the back it states that " we aim to refund you within 14 days, and will email you once it had been received and processed" So far, so good.
Well I waited, and patiently waited for the two weeks, checking my account statement for the refund, and my inbox for an email. Nothing, not a sausage. I kept checking daily. I sent a secure message, or three, to my credit card company, NIL response. Finally I emailed John Lewis customer services, which I should probably have done in the first place, but the red mist had not yet cleared.
This morning I was going to write an AIBU post on GN, but as I went to my emails, what should appear, but a message from JL. with a request to send them a photo/JPEG ??? of my receipt. Which I have just done.
So, just the power of thought, that by asking GN, ' what should I do next?', has apparently solved the question, for now.
Thank you, I await my refund with bated breath, not that I could go on holiday with the proceeds, but we could have a nice supper.
A super-quick, easy dinner for Gdcs when you’ve all been out all day and they’re ‘starving’….
