Oh, I'd probably have assumed it was another fashion trend that had passed me by. DS and I took the DGS to a children's festival recently and when he'd put suncream on his cheekbones he hadn't rubbed it in. I'd assumed it was a new look (some sort of Adam Ant revival maybe ) and didn't comment. When he saw the photos he thanked me somewhat sarcastically for having his back!

I once saw a woman wearing a jacket which had pleats from the waist seam at the back down. The thing was that she hadn't taken the tailor's tacks out and each pleat was being held down at the bottom with a big white cotton X. She must have thought it was a design feature but it created a really odd look as the jacket was puffing out like a lantern... it reminded me of the doublet and hose look much favoured by Elizabethan men!

.... and no, I couldn't face telling her as I was afraid I'd burst out laughing!

We were mce waiting for a bus caravan n Majorca, a lady joined the queue with clown cheeks, where she had applied blusher, then forgotten to blend it in! She was with her husband, I gently told her, he hadn't.
Also, we once walked the full length or Sheffield after having a burger for lunch, my hubby mentioned at the end of our walk...."did you know you have tomato sauce around your mouth". Oh well!

Surely, if someone tore their dress, they would be aware of it? I have often seen people 'wearing' labels or price tags, and I always tell them politely. They are usually grateful to be told.
I hope this lady wasn't setting a new fashion?

It's like when someone comes out of the loo with their dress caught in their knickers; or when someone bends over and comes up with their skirt caught in the natal cleft....I think what you do depends on the person involved.

I knew it, I am a bad person......... in my defence I was sitting at a table and she was at the counter..........

I'd have approached her with an "Excuse me, but..." and a smile.
If she didn't know she might be glad to and if she did know and didn't care, no harm done.
