That's really lovely.

DH used to have patients who were entitled to free treatment as they received Pension Credit. Quite a few would insist on paying the full NHS charge regardless of my saying they didn't need to!

The chemists here spend a lot of time chatting to their customers. I watched one lady offloading all her problems onto a male pharmacist. He listened, advised her, and she threw her arms around him and gave him a big kiss.

That was such a lovely story and so typical of people from that era.

Reminds me of a lady who calls my sister - a 5ft , 60 year old pharmacist , the little girl in charge , when she needs advice , think it's the 5 feet that she is referring to

Glad you didn't mind me sharing . He was such a lovely gentleman and it made me smile when he called them "boys and girls" which seemed quite appropriate to the Jammi Dodger biscuits he brought them .
