Driving Licence renewal

Just had to renew my driving licence. You do it on line now. Beware it is not a 5 minute job. You need your licence, your passport, your national insurance number and your Government Gateway log in. You will also need a magnifying glass - you need to be able to read that tiny number that you have never noticed on the back of your driving licence. Because I am nice I did OH's for him. Think I need a brew now, bit early for wine unfortunately.

What if you haven't got a passport?

Then you have to send in a photo, or go to a PO (I would think it would have to be a main one) where they will take a photo of you.

I had to apply for a new licence after loosing my original photo card licence when on holiday,if you already have had a photo licence they have the original on file and you have to pay £20.00 for processing I got mine back in 4 days which is pretty good for the DVLA.

I've just moved and got my first ever plastic card driving licence. It makes me giggle that they used my passport photo which is 9 years old!
