Last night I joined a new group where they play Whist at our local church hall.

What fun it was, I had forgotten how social playing cards can be.

The winning pair moved up a table after each set and the losing pair moved down, so during the course of the evening you met everyone and chatted to all.

There was a mixture of people from all walks of life so conversation was varied and interesting.

Anyone who is looking for a way to meet new people would find this type of thing a step in the right direction.
