I have just spoken to Rubylady she had an appointment at the MRI today and was admitted to the Acute heart ward for tests. She is on a drip and is to have an MRI scan and an angiogram.
She sounds in good spirits, it is a nice ward and patients ok.
She asks "for grapes please"
Her son has been quite shocked by the seriousness of her condition and has come home to look after the dog and the other pets.

I have just spoken to Ruby she has had an X-ray and says she has fluid in her lungs and lots of retained fluid in her legs etc. The medication is to "drain" or reduce this. She reports that she was weighed this morning and had lost 3 kg overnight. She thanks everyone for kind messages and best wishes. I will try and get to see her in the next couple of days but will have to make my own arrangements for a sitter first.

Hope the tests all go smoothly and make it clear what needs to be done. flowers

If the same has happened to Ruby as did a friend of mine, the angiogram showed results which led to the hospital keeping her for immediate surgery. If it means she doesn't have to wait now for treatment so much the better. Here's to a good recovery.flowers

Sometimes they fit a stent at the same time, though, Maw if the artery requires it, rather than going through the whole procedure again. Let's hope she starts to feel better soon. Yes, of course, it may not be as simple as a stent and she could need further intervention. Worrying time for her.

Best wishes to rubylady sunshine

Hope to see you here again soon.

Depending on what was found, the angiogram could well have led on to an immediate angioplasty which is a treatment. I know Ruby has been on the waiting list for major surgery for some time now - here's hoping all is well.

rubylady's angiogram is not a treatment but an investigative procedure so she is unlikely to be on the mend just yet, but here's hoping that they can at least assess the problem and plan a course of action to restore our friend to health flowers

All the best, Ruby. I'm sending you wine for when you're on the road to recovery.

Sending love to rubylady, but won't send more grapes yet as you don't want to have to spend more time than is necessary in a hospital toilet!

As Spike Milligan said on his headstone: " I told you I was ill"
Get well soon.
