I have just spoken to Rubylady she had an appointment at the MRI today and was admitted to the Acute heart ward for tests. She is on a drip and is to have an MRI scan and an angiogram.
She sounds in good spirits, it is a nice ward and patients ok.
She asks "for grapes please"
Her son has been quite shocked by the seriousness of her condition and has come home to look after the dog and the other pets.

Rubylady, I agree you are a tonic. You're famous. Last week at our Preston meet-up, your's was the first name we all pounced on when going through who we connected with.

Hope Angiogram goes well tomorrow. flowers

Bellanonna Tue 02-May-17 08:33:51

I bet you're a real tonic in there Ruby. Glad you're having the angiogram tomorrow. Pop in again and say hello. Love x

flowersflowersYou're a star Ruby! Best wishes and I hope all goes well tomorrow.

Not really bellaNonna, she barely spoke, ate all the grapes she brought and eventually climbed into my bed and fell asleep! (grin)

Of course Ann made my day, she is a star. (flowers)

Angiogram on Wednesday, yeah!

It's been a good day today. I got all the girls in the bay on the ward singing, we sat round a tele and watched the soaps together, laughing and joking with staff, I wrote thank you messages on my bedpans to cheer the staff up. Brilliant hospital, lots of care between everyone, lovely. Take care all of you, please be nice to each other, there are some really serious cases in here, disagree yes but please don't argue, lots of love. Xxx

Didn't mean that to look facetious! As averyone else said, it was good of you to go. Must have cheered Ruby up a lot.

ann ?

Oh Ruby, so sorry not to have sent my best wishes to you before now - I have only just found this thread. Thank heavens things are beginning to move now and you can finally begin to look forward to leading a normal life! I'm so pleased your son is being there for you, but you must be missing your little doggie so much - if only he could bring him to the hospital for you to see briefly, it would be such a tonic for you! When my DD was in hospital for five days after a C-section, my DH brought her black lab to the nearest door and she was able to walk there and see her. It really made her day!
What a good friend you have in annsixty. Well done ann, you are a true friend in need and we all know you have troubles enough of your own. What a star you are - keep polishing that halo, you have definitely earned it!
Keep fighting the good fight Ruby - looking forward to hearing that you are home and recovering and on the way to a 'new you' flowers

I have been asked on another thread what I am going to buy myself for my 80th birthday in a few weeks time.
I have really been struggling to come up with something suitable but thanks to all you very kind people I have the answer.
I will buy myself a lovely box to keep my highly polished halo in when I am not wearing it.
Than you so much for kind remarks,I was glad to be able to do it.

I've asked for a Minions balloon as they are hard workers and cute!
grin
You could ask for one that speaks when you press your tummy button; here are a few phrases to choose from ruby:
