redecorating

This is not very helpful I'm afraid, but I get someone in to decorate as I'd make an awful mess and would then have to pay to have it put right.

Are there any of those exchange schemes near you in which someone will come and do jobs in return for something you can do for them i.e. baby/granny sitting, ironing?

I have just had every floor changed in my house except the ceramic tiles and the two fitters moved everything but they knew in advance. I did not have to pay extra.

Get a man or a woman in if you can afford it.

One thing at a time, you cover up the furniture and get the decorating done.Then go and choose a new carpet, telling the carpet people that you want help with the furniture( not that expensive) then the day before the carpet comes, take out all bits and bobs and the furniture that you can lift, and leave the rest to them when they arrive the next day.?
