Follow up on FIL

Well, he's bitten the bullet and is giving up driving after his accident. We're all so relieved but it took the combined forces of the family to persuade him. Insurers have written off the car so that's also been a factor in his decision. He started off by saying that he'll just stay at home and probably die! Out of the blue, however, he's now decided that a move nearer to dh's sister would be best! I'm not entirely convinced about this but at least he's thinking ahead and not about dying!
