Has anyone tried this? - basically you can access all the course materials from an MIT course at no cost. I am thinking of working through a course called "Harmony and Counterpoint."

Never heard of this I'm afraid. Just googled it, is it an American website Luckygirl?

"Harmony and Counterpoint"?
Could be all about GN (apart from the Harmony bit) hmm

Yes - MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) has the content of all its courses freely downloadable online - amazing! You can study it all at your own speed - no awards or qualifications, but just for your own interest.

You will be able to teach everyone on GN how to counterpoint arguments harmoniously Luckygirl!

Thank you for the tip about the courses.

We are so lucky living now. If you want to learn, not just to gain a qualification, you can do any number of MOOCs. (mass online open courses) - try Coursera, but there are many others

Indeed - it is really rather exciting! I have sent off for the set text for the course and will see if I understand that to start with!
