That made me laugh - my eldest DS is named Christian, and his little sister couldn't say that, so she called him 'Weese'.
Thirty years on, he's still known as Weese throughout the family!

Chochlet and perscetti were my eldest son's favourites. Toffer and toffee because my second son couldn't say Christopher which is his brother's name.

The only one I can remember right now is that my DS used to call a screwdriver a 'goo-dubber'.

These are hilarious. When we lived in Stirling my son used to refer to the Wallace Wallument. Our tv remote is still called the doot doot 40 years on.

DS used to come in from the garden having seen 'paterdiddlers eating all the cabbinges '
DGD , seeing a splendid gilded weathercock on our local church, piped up: "Ook at dat golden roof-chicken!"

My sister used to say cosbe, because of the Wizard of Oz We're Off to See the Wizard (sing it in your head) and DD's friend said vegetablearian.

From my sons hopistal (hospital) par cark (car park) My youngest son Neil when asked his name used to say Mowoo, his older brothers thought it hilarious and would continually ask him. If some thing was sticky he'd say it was scoogy. And he'd scoggle down in his bed at night.

My older son became very frustrated with me when I failed to grasp his demand for using "writing needles". It took him ages to make me understand............. drawing pins!!

As a child I couldn't say Car Park it was always a Par Cark, cattle grids were "bang bangs", in the days where they were round metal poles which rolled round when a car drove over them.

My DD always called midges "midgets"

My Mum used to write and save funny things our children said when young, alas the little book was lost when Mum passed away, and I cant think of anything they said!

Dgs 1 used to say 'as good as snake' when he was frustrated. We still use it.

Some 30+ years later we still have a vacoom coomer, a top-open bus and a dubsin. For many years one of our treats was a packet of crips.

My som used to say hellitotot for helicopter and nocknock nicknick for chocolate biscuit. Daughter wore a cardington (confused with paddington i think) and said far so forcso far.
Grandson was given a nukeplele (ukulele) for christmas.

Five year old DS called the garden hammock "the haddock" and we still say we are sitting on the haddock - he is forth two now !

Friend of mine has a gd when she was little would often say 'for dogs sake'

My daughter, now 30, has always loved music, and has had a band since she was about 15. When she was about 2 years old she heard the chimes of an ice cream van but couldn't see where the sound was coming from. "Moogit up sky!" she proudly announced. Everything after that was "up sky", including a hot air balloon ("Boon up sky") and the moon ("Moon up sky"). In time she had a little sister two years younger. "Moon up sky" the older child pointed out when we were out in the car one night. "We gotta moon!" the younger one replied.

GD from being tiny would look to see if the moon was out and tell her dad " moon out, get skeletope " When shopping we had to put the car in the parcark and cat prints in the snow were pootfrints.

My GD says the postman makes deliberies. When the cat is pawing her lap she's prickprocking. There are many more but I don't want to write a long reply.
