Easy peelers, how hard can it be!

I don't have an issue with easy peelers honestly, it would be good if they labelled the fruit as what it is rather than just easy to peel. Sort of like 'easy peel satsumas', not much more to print.

Even the mandarins I buy are hard to peel.
When all else fails I cut oranges into sections, peel included, and chomp out the contents of each section.

MUch appreciated me at the moment working with one hand only. ?

I never buy oranges unless they are large navel oranges which are a lot easier to peel than the smaller thin skinned ones. They have been very good this year, but they seem to have their season and then you don't see them again until the winter. I like satsumas too, but I've never seen a ready peeled orange.

I seem to remember a while ago one of the 'Big Five' started selling ready-peeled oranges. Did that die the death, or are they still cashing in on the bone-idle ?

Like apples. When I was a child there must have been a wide range of apples available, probably in private orchards, but in the greengrocers in our wee Scottish town the choice was "Eaters" or "cookers"
