Perhaps he was hoping he looked like Sherlock Holmes ( would it have looked better with a pipe?) A bit of role play eh?grin You could have been Mrs Hudson ( or Watson!)

Well I couldn't blame him for trying MiniMouse but the sight of an old man sitting up in bed wearing a Deputy Dawg hat with the flaps down with that come on look in his eye is not exactly many ladies' idea of a "turn on" ! grin

I can't get that image out of my mind now gillybob grin

I loved walking by the sea in all weathers when I lived in Suffolk, so bracing when it's cold and windy then home to a nice hot coffee. Simple pleasures mean so much.

gringrin wetting myself laughing. D asked what have the "oldies" said now.
I don't think the image would mean the same to a 29 y.o.

downtoearth Mon 13-Feb-17 10:31:30

Living close to the sea, I walk on the beach quite a lot and yesterday afternoon I got myself all wrapped up and was just heading out when DH said "what on earth? You're not going out in that weather are you?" "why not?" I asked. I admit it was blowing a gale and lashing down with rain, but as they say there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes, (or something like that anyway).

DH then decided that he would come with me. hmm

He then started to look for his hat and gloves (he's not a hat and gloves kind of man) and when he couldn't find them decided he would manage with a coat with a hood. The wind was wild and DH's hood wouldn't stay up and he spent the entire walk muttering that I was mad for wanting to be out in this and where were his bl**dy hat and gloves anyway.

Walk over. A nice glass of winered wine enjoyed with supper and fast forward to bed time moon. I am pottering around down stairs and I could hear drawers and cupboards opening and shutting upstairs. I creep go upstairs and peep around the door. The bedroom looks like a bomb site with all DH's stuff pulled out and there he is sitting on the edge of the bed wearing nothing but his underpants and a Sheepskin Deputy Dog/Sherlock hat with the flaps down ! grin

I just stood there for what seemed like minutes and then burst out into a fit of the giggles that I couldn't get under control. In fact between you and me, I almost wet myself. blush

DH decided that he might "cash in" on my apparent "joy" and got into bed with the hat on..... How wrong can one man be? wink
