Probably generational, I'm pretty sure its something my Dad would of said but not something I would so its not been passed down in my family to children and grandchildren they wouldn't have a clue.

My D's SO was born in Yorkshire moved to Kent aged 11/12 and has recently spent 2/3 years living in Edinburgh.
Yesterday I asked him to "put the wood in the hole" he hadn't a clue what I meant.smile

Would you say this is a generation thing or a regional one ??
