There again, I do get quite a glow when someone says they agree with me - especially when the post was quite a bit back in a thread. Ah ha! Someone actually took the time to read and digest what I wrote

I hate the idea of a like button. What if you never got any 'likes'? And I do think it makes some people play to the audience so you're never sure who means what...

I blame the platform GN uses. If you go an any other forum like this I suspect you will find a like button. Then we wouldn't have to say I agree with x.y or z , we can simply like their post - or how about lets get radical and have a Like and an Agree button !!!

DD does this all the time to me and I used to just ignore it, now I point out that I already suggested such and such and if she listened she would hear.

This happens to me a lot too MawBroon . Sometimes I hope someone might disagree with me just to get a reaction!

I must admit to not always reading really long threads from beginning to end and I wouldn't be offended if anyone said "I said that three pages ago"

Our WI recently had a quiz night and although I am not the brightest of buttons academically I am pretty good at (often) useless facts. In every walk of life you get the "bossy boots" the one who has to "hold the pen" or "fill the answers in" etc. and on this occasion "she" insisted that her answers were the final answers. I was beyond angry when my answers were ignored but admit to having a sly grin when the quiz master read the correct answers out at the end"

Yes, [sigh] but I am quite used to it. DH does it to me all the time - my suggestions always go over the top of his head until Joe Public down the road suggests the same thing.

And apologies if I have done it to others - Ana I know I am guilty - it may be that sometimes some threads are tltr all through and great minds think alike.

Yes, it happens to me quite often on here. Usually someone will come along who hasn't bothered to read the whole of the thread and adds their two penn'orth which is virtually what I suggested several posts ago.

Whether others agree with that poster or not, it's still irritating!
