Today did not go according to plan - however - it turned out all right ?

Glad your mum is in her own environment again, helps with the recovery I think, pity you missed the Dancing, another day.

I once had tickets to take my daughter to a children's show but something happened and I couldn't take her. I asked my mother if she would take her and she said no, she had my daughter doing her cleaning instead, she was under four years old at the time. I'd forgotten about that but just another day in the life of nana the selfish witch.

Another time she had three full boxes of cereal, my son asked for some and she said no, she liked to have some in in case she wanted some.

I wonder why I don't speak to the woman!

Shame you missed the show, but at least the DGD's still saw it, and your Mother would be glad to have you with her all day. Sleep well!

Just back from seeing mum - she was in good spirits considering the drama of yesterday. Her mobility is certainly compromised at the moment but, I am hoping that once the pain is reduced, she will be more comfortable. In the meantime, I have ordered a lightweight wheelchair so that we can still get her out and about.

Glad your mum is okay and your family are having a happy time with you, jogginggirl. What a shame you had to miss the Strictly tour - DS and DiL went to see it in Leeds on Friday and they said it was wonderful. Bet the girls were over the moon!

What can I say? Knowing you JG you'll just take the positives from today...mum is OK (for now) and GDs had their treat and dump the negatives in the bin.
