Bit behind today. Still been a lovely day sun and not too cold. Nothing to read report having heard from my poorly friend and I don't like to contact her and bother her as I know she is feeling as bad as you can feel. Do so hope the chemo works.

Lovely and sunny here in my corner of N Bucks and my day made even sunnier by the arrival of another stunning "Bloom and Wild" bouquet from SIL(who as my "Secret Santa" gave me flowers every month for 6 months!) - mega brownie points there SIL. smileJanuary flowers and today's shown left. Morning, folks! Heavy rain overnight here too and more to come though there was a little sunshine reflected on the loch before the sun rose above the clouds. Seems the temperature will be dropping to nearer zero as we proceed through the day. February is often the coldest month here. I enjoy the increasing light though

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is out, the sky is blue, it's perishing cold and I am grumpy because I slept badly. Actually I am always grumpy so no change there! DH is going to footie this afternoon so I have a few hours of peace and quiet. I think I shall keep myself busy by tying a few flies - the new season is looming! Quiet, still and bright in Norfolk this morning after a windy night. No rain though.

We should be having a quiet weekend, but something is bound to crop up.

Morning from a grey damp Oxfordshire( yet again) lots of wind and rain last night, howling around the house and a short ( thankfully) loss of electricity.Went round lighting candles, DH finally lit the last one, and lights came back on!
Shopping to do for a house warming gift to take away with us next week when we see friends.Grandchildren tomorrow.Happy weekend all.

Sorry ffinnochio but I am pleased that the heavy storms stayed in France and did not come over here as thought. I slept for 7 consecutive hours so I really do not know what the weather was like during the night.

The builders are back today so I must get dressed.

Good morning from an overcast Colchester. Wind and rain overnight has subsided but I don't think the rain will hold off for long. Feels chillier than yesterday too.

We have a fine sunny morning after all the rain last night. Went to work for 04:30 this morning, so much for retirement! Now I'm going to have forty winks, and catch up on lost sleep.

Pleased that lovely 19-year old we gave temporary accommodation to has found more permanent home. Nice to have the house back to ourselves.

Fun charity quiz night last night . We came 3rd out of 20 tables of 8 so respectable outcome and much cash raised for the hospice.

Good morning to all from France. It was a wild and stormy night. No longer continuous rain, but there are still strong squalls and howling gusts of wind this morning. I'm surprised we still have the Internet!
