Actually seen some sun today in Yorkshire cold evening though . Roll on spring

AngieB I bought myself a £10.00 pair of waterproof trousers and coupled with my rather smart Joules knee length waterproof jacket I am water free. No one can drive passed and splash my legs. I feel snug and secure.

I got my waterproof trousers from Millets

Am I the only one who tends to hibernate in January. I have so many things to catch up on and I told myself this would start in February but the weather today is so awful that I've put them off again. Not having a car doesn't help and usually I enjoy walking but not today. Any words of encouragement to get me out there gratefully received.

Good afternoon, everyone. Mild here today and I've raked up two big piles of branchlets that a big birch tree has been shedding all winter.

DanniRae Wed 01-Feb-17 11:06:40

Good Morning All! 'Orrible wet day here in South London. I need to buy the newspaper but will I go to nearby shop or the one that is a bit of a walk away? Well it is raining..........!! So local one it is.

Stansgran Wed 01-Feb-17 10:46:06

Light grey in Durham and off to get my 66p from the co op if it's going on it's uppers. They keep sending me a piece of paper which says I have 66 p in a long defunct account and they will not put it in the charity box by phone. Probably costs more than that to send the paper.

Good morning everyone.
I have retired from early morning cleaning. Yippee ? I've not been getting up early. What a relief for an owl. I'm only going when needed for holiday relief etc. Anyway, here's the weather report from the Tyne Valley. The grey clouds are gradually breaking up and now the sun is out. It's quite mild too. I must try and get my hair cut before the end f the week.
Have a good day all.

roses with me that would be an absolute 'no contest'! It would be the ironing everytime! Not! grin

Rinouchka Wed 01-Feb-17 09:35:05

whitewave Wed 01-Feb-17 09:27:29

Just back from vets £91. 12p!! Just for an infected paw. Bloody Hell!

rosesarered Wed 01-Feb-17 09:24:02

Another grey wet day here, and a choice of meeting a friend for lunch or a huge pile of ironing that really needs to be done ( I can't do both) grin
Have a good day all.

ffinnochio Wed 01-Feb-17 09:13:44

PRINTMISS Wed 01-Feb-17 09:09:46

Good morning everyone, lots of posts here today, perhaps I am a little later than usual. It is NOT raining, now there's a thing! Not a lot planned, but I will certainly go out today, yesterday the constant rain kept me indoors, no point getting soaked if I don't have to. Enjoy your days.

MawBroon Wed 01-Feb-17 08:58:58

Good morning everyone from another grey London day but, nonetheless, the birds are chirping away in our garden. I feel like those birds, chirping away, regardless.

Can visualise your smooth, fuller head of hair, kittylester. Hope the dampness in the air does not affect it!

MawBroon are you related to DaphneBroon ? Have noticed that she has been absent for a while.
Happy day, everyone...and ninathenana, I would invite you to lunch if you could get here!

harrigran Wed 01-Feb-17 08:21:45

Good morning, grey and damp and 5 degrees here in the north east. Lovely evening with youngest GD, so well behaved and polite an absolute pleasure to be with. I have missed babysitting thisnlast year.

Morning All. Damp, dark and dismal in our corner of Somerset. Shattered this morning. If anyone finds my get up and go would they please return it? You sound pleased with your hair treatment, kitty, I have made a hopeful note of the name but suspect my hair would be a challenge too far. grin. Hope Wednesday is kind to everyone.

Pittcity Wed 01-Feb-17 08:02:57

Good morning from a grey, wet Colchester. Welcome to February.
Wednesday coffee morning today and then some of us go to a local church for lunch and a free concert during February and March.

This thread being moved to the café yesterday made the morning go on all day!

NanKate Wed 01-Feb-17 07:55:34

Good Morning Mick and All

Grey and damp in Thames Valley.

Glad you got the desired effect Kitty with your hair. Since I found a brand new but old curling tong in the back of a cupboard, I now use it to give my hair a quick flick each morning and even DH said how nice it looked. smile

What a disappointment Nina your friend cancelled, if I lived near you I would happily take her place. I do like lunch out.

whitewave Wed 01-Feb-17 07:47:22

Morning Mick and all

Off to vets at 9am poorly paw paw!! I might as well rent a seat there I'm sure it would be cheaper.

Misty damp and mild. Depending on the weather might go to Sheffield Park for a walk and lunch.

Have a good day
