Marathon to Snickers
Jif to Cif
You get my drift

So now I can't believe it's not butter is getting a name change
-- n original name was obviously not long enough--
So on your shopping list (if you buy the spread) make room for
I can't believe it's so good... For everything hmm

You didn't have faith Jalima ...... my arches are still perfect!

Cherrytree59 Sat 04-Feb-17 21:38:42

shock. Oh no jalima
I feel responsible.
Do you think your flat feet are turning in to flippers??

Jalima Sat 04-Feb-17 20:01:49

flat feet are worse today

Jalima Sat 04-Feb-17 20:01:11

I like Lurpak ....

only the slightly salted one:
Butter (milk)
Lactic culture (milk)
Salt

I can't believe:
Purified water, soybean oil, palm and palm kernel oil, salt, mono and diglycerides, soy lecithin, vinegar, natural flavors, vitamin a palmitate, beta carotene (color).

I Can't Believe People Buy Margerine Instead Of Butter.
Factory-made artificial grease full of chemicals and a stupid name.

callgirl1 Fri 03-Feb-17 16:49:52

Well, WE like it! Like butter as well, but not Lurpak, it`s horrid.

CarrieTaylor Fri 03-Feb-17 14:26:07

Roses Please save your money.
Despite its claims, it won't work on your flat feet, bread, toast, rusty hinges or bingo card.
(Not sure about the last one though)

rosesarered Fri 03-Feb-17 10:10:21

callgirl we are being mean humerous about the name, the product may be fine, not tried it.

rosesarered Fri 03-Feb-17 10:08:29

grin

I'm going to spread my butter wings and reveal an even butter use for this stuff.

Divide contents of carton into several small pots.
Mix each one with a different food colouring.
And hey presto! You have a lovely set of oil paints!

When your masterpiece is finished, your friends will gasp and say "I can't believe you're so good....at everything!" An original by Marge Gloops.

Dare I come out of hiding and say, tentatively, that I actually do buy this product, and we like it? Back into hiding now.

rosesarered Mon 30-Jan-17 09:21:52

I remember at the time being annoyed when Marathon became Snickers, and still think it a silly name.I saw this product either in France or Switzerland once, and it was called ( I think) Raider or something like that.

rosesarered Mon 30-Jan-17 09:19:51

'I can't believe the general public are actually buying this' grin
' I can't believe it's so good..... and it isn't'
'I can't believe they would fall for this everything bit"

italiangirl Mon 30-Jan-17 08:56:31

Loved this thread still chuckling more please.

Ana Sun 29-Jan-17 22:06:52

I think that's what I meant to say, roses! grin

rosesarered Sun 29-Jan-17 21:52:27

...or ' I can't believe it's good..for anything' ( hides under table in case of libel laws.)

Ana Sun 29-Jan-17 21:44:17

Perhaps it should be renamed 'I can't believe it's no good...for anything' grin

rosesarered Sun 29-Jan-17 21:41:45

( so don't believe.)

rosesarered Sun 29-Jan-17 21:40:50

grin skin tags/ flat feet/ dry skin/warts/creaky doors/.... you name it and ' I can't believe' does it.

Womble54 Sun 29-Jan-17 19:20:26

Is it any good for skin tags? (See 27th.)

Jalima Sun 29-Jan-17 19:15:01

Sorry, I waited until I thought everyone had finished lunch and well before dinner.

I hope you're not telling fibbers about this rosesarered - the podiatrist is going to be amazed (and out of a job).

rosesarered Sun 29-Jan-17 18:01:48

No more doggy eating things please...I have gone right off my yoghurt now.grin

rosesarered Sun 29-Jan-17 18:00:48

Country Life spreadable is quite ok ( we have butter as well but need some spreadable for making sandwiches.)
Jalima you had to eat the stuff at the same time as buttering your flat feet...I now have wonderful arches, so it does work! grinI must say it was worth the greasy carpets and sheets.
