Hi why do some high schools insist on really strict uniforms? For example why do some schools insist on having a shirt tie and blazer uniform. My granddaughter 13 and my grand son 11 there high school has a jumper and polo shirt uniform. Which is far more practical than a tie and blazer uniform.

Same poster, not Sam poster!

nanaK54 Thu 19-Jan-17 18:03:32

Ah I think I know which thread you are referring to Ana I replied but then things moved on and got more than a little 'silly'

vampirequeen Thu 19-Jan-17 18:10:47

Perhaps the OPs are really essay titles and we're doing someone's homework for them grin

BlueBelle Thu 19-Jan-17 18:17:43

Did the toilet one come in to the same classification
We might get a photo of the shoes in a minute

Katek Thu 19-Jan-17 18:20:09

Ooh, which thread? I must be thick ......

Linsco56 Thu 19-Jan-17 18:44:45

Yes Ana I know the thread. Same as you, very doubtful.
There seems. to be a glut of these threads ATM
.

Fancy having to buy SIX school blazers all in one go shock

I expect they will be bought to last, can't see the child for the blazer in year 7 then can't see the blazer for the child in year 13.

I feel an ad coming on!

No Bluebelle, this one is just daft the toilet one was sinister imo.

Lona Thu 19-Jan-17 19:27:29

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who's suspicious about the other thread. hmm

BlueBelle Thu 19-Jan-17 20:34:06

Oh what other thread givevus a hint I m so thick ....

Elegran Thu 19-Jan-17 21:28:01

Look around the "last hour" list, Bluebelle the visible bits of recent posts might give you a clue. It is an antidote to the subject of school uniforms.

Elegran Fri 20-Jan-17 14:21:00

I've been out all morning, and came back to find that :-
1) There are no more posts on this thread.
2) The thread by David asking for advice on his Godfrey Wynn lifestyle has been deleted.
3) The thread by 76-year-old Violet asking whether she should wear a Celine Dion type dress for her imminent white wedding has vanished.

Have I missed a mass conversion of Grans to cynicism?

nanaK54 Fri 20-Jan-17 18:18:43

Me too Elegran shame really I was finding it all quite entertaining!

BlueBelle Fri 20-Jan-17 19:02:58

Ohhhh no have the cynics been proved right or have you all chased them away

willsmadnan Fri 20-Jan-17 19:17:20

Oh no ! My evening is ruined.... the 76 year-old dreaming of a Celine-type wedding dress has been removed ??? Where is GNHQ's sense of humour, or their responsibility to bored ole gals who were enjoying it. Humph... will have to resort to winding up my Republican 'rellies' on Facebook now wink. Fortunately there's not too many of them!

Ankers Fri 20-Jan-17 19:27:46

Am I right in thinking that "this poster" doesnt have his/her threads deleted?
What is the difference between this and "David" and "Violet's"? confused?

Ankers Fri 20-Jan-17 19:28:32

This one is genuine?

Ankers Fri 20-Jan-17 19:29:12

oops. Does this make me a troll hunter? confused confused

Ankers Fri 20-Jan-17 19:30:04

I havent phrased it right in the correct manner have I blush

Ankers Fri 20-Jan-17 19:30:47

<joins When>

Jalima Fri 20-Jan-17 19:38:25

willsmadnan I am upset too, it took me ages to source and post that 10 foot high meringue dress
sad

Why do some schools have blazers
because they are posh

willsmadnan Fri 20-Jan-17 19:45:55

Aw.... never mind Jalima. Don't take it too hard.....your hours spent trawling the internet weren't wasted, it gave us all a laugh. A 76 year-old in that ? LMOA

Jalima Fri 20-Jan-17 19:47:43

I want one, it will make me look taller!

Jalima Fri 20-Jan-17 19:51:35

that dress, not a blazer

Oh dear, time to log off I think
