Breakfast out

Americans have been enjoying Brunch for years. A real tradition at the weekend, as Rinouchka mentions. Always do it when we stay with the family 'over there'. Had the best brunch/late breakfast in New York a few years ago. Memorable!

Terribull We always source out a Dennys when over there too,I just love the hash browns,here we go for breakfast on a regular basis mainly Sat/Sunday morning we have a few choices on the River Front facing Liverpool so the scenery is quite appealing, cost wise its reasonable and they also have a separate area where your dog can accompany you.

My favourite bit in that TV programme about B&Bs is the breakfasts. No matter what time of day I watch the programme I end up really fancying a delicious cooked breakfast and all the trimmings. Breakfast out would be lovely.

We used to regularly go out for breakfast at Cafe Rouge, and still sometimes go to Carluccio if we are in town.

When ever we were in America we often went to an establishment called Dennys, cheap and all over the country, who had an array of different ways with eggs and the ubiquitous bottomless pot full to the brim with an evil black substance that passes for coffee across the pond.

I have eaten breakfast out in a few locations , Sainsburys Café in Bicester , a firm favourite I have visited in Oxford is Browns Café in the covered market. You have a fried bread option as opposed to toast.
Boycott Farm near Stowe School nr Buckingham does breakfasts but if you have more than 4 items you pay for each item.

Brunch is the new going out for 20 /30 somethings or so my son tells me, certainty breakfast type establishments are very busy at week ends in my neck of the woods, so much so, we would only contemplate weekdays. Previously at Carluccios the service was so slow we got the cost of 1 breakfast knocked off the bill. We don't do it often but local garden centre is quite good and reasonable for breakfast and for the first time, when we found ourselves on the road quite early without having anything to eat we popped into a Saintsbury for breakfast which was very acceptable and they produced a. good flat white.

We have breakfast out at least once a week. There is a cafe run by a charity in our local park: full English and a cup of tea for me, scrambled egg and smoked salmon with a coffee for my wife. About £14, and the satisfaction of knowing that the profits go to a good cause.

I love my breakfast more of a morning person. But only eat breakfast out on hols.

A few years ago we were on holiday in fuertaventura (sp?) And had gone for morning stroll when we spotted a lovely (actually on the beach) cafe so we sat down and ordered a breakfast
After a very long wait we asked if our breakfast would be arriving soon

We sometimes go to Wetherspoons for breakfast. Very cheap and very nice

H loves to have a full English out I will just have eggs on toast cooked however I fancy that day. We go toTesco or Morrisons cafe.
We do this fairly regularly on scheduled shopping days if we get up and ready early enough.

My DS often has breakfast out, after he has dropped his DD off at nursery. Both of them often have lunch out, also, as the little girl has a busy social calendar and there's not always time to go home.

If you want to push the boat out Rinouchka there's The Ivy Chelsea Garden, which is lovely for brunch

The cafe in the park at the bottom of DD's road has a lovely cafe which is popular at any time of the day, but particularly for brunch. I used to. Take GS there in his pram before we started looking after him at our house instead. Here is a selection from their "something different" menu.

The bottom one was my favourite! They do more traditional breakfast food too. We don't eat breakfast out now unless we're on holiday.

We don't go out for breakfast even though I would like to as DH has to have breakfast the minute he is up in the morning otherwise he will die!!!He couldn't possibly wait until after 9am. So today I have cooked him his large field mushrooms in Worcestershire sauce with toast and fruit salad, had a piece of toast myself and am meeting three friends for coffee and cake.

I have never been out for breakfast in my life. I am not a fan of breakfast food so maybe I should continue to go out for lunch or dinner.

Once a month my husband, daughter and I used to go out for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We started off visiting a different cafe every time but then settled for a couple of favourites - Cafe Rouge (me and daughter) and a cheaper place (husband). We all really enjoyed it but then my daughter got a new job and has to work Saturdays so it all came to an end

We often go out for breakfast.

Sometimes we just go out for breakfast then go home, sometimes we have breakfast before shopping .

In fact we have made it our mission to find the best breakfast places :-) .

Breakfast is cheaper than dinner, we both enjoy all the variations of a cooked breakfast ( although Eggs Benedict is my favourite) , we don't have lunch if we have a cooked breakfast......and quite frankly ---what's not to like about breakfast.

My current favourite place is The Elevedon Estate restaurant in Norfolk, all locally sourced, real bread and butter and if like Grampy you like good sausages - he swears their homemade ones are the best.

The onsite chocolatier is pretty awesome too

Apart from on holiday I have never had breakfast out but wish I could occasionally. We have one of the better Premier Inns very near and about once a month my ex Dil and her partner take the two youngest children on Sunday morning for breakfast. The C eat free and they have a lovely breakfast,as much as you like, for under £18. Which for 4 is great value.

It is a very American thing to have breakfast/brunch out at the weekend. A real, occasional treat.

DH and I are always taken out for brunch on special occasions by DD. Its a lovely treat. We often go somewhere for lunch on Sundays. Sometimes just to a cafe at other times somewhere a bit posher.

When I was younger eating out was confined to high days and occasional holidays. It's different now with so many different types of restaurants around. We eat lunch out quite often with friends, it's a good way of socialising without the cooking and washing up. It's also reasonably priced ( in France )

My family laugh at me because every once in a while I take myself off to our local Wetherspoons for breakfast (during the week, on my own) because the staff are friendly and they make the best freshly cooked breakfast around for £3.50. I take a newspaper and sit where I can catch some . My other option is the upmarket place where eggs on toast starts at £11 and the service is slower than slow. No contest!

Going out for breakfast on the beachfront in Durban, where I am originally from, is very popular and a social occasion.

I meet my sister and niece and my daughter regularly for coffee. With my daughter its always an arm and a leg payment at some trendy place with my sister and niece we go to a Weather spoon pub for a large latte or cappuccino and my niece has tea the bill comes to 3.60 for the three drinks!!!! We can afford to go a couple of times a week at that price.
