Good morning Michael raining heavily and still dark here in Merseyside.

NfkDumpling Sun 15-Jan-17 07:20:07

Morning Mick, morning All

Just stuck my head out of the door to see how cold it was and wished I hadn't. It's 'orrible. Cold, dark and doing a fine mizzle. Staying in today and listening to the Archers. I may make a start on sorting the spare room out. I may. Possibly. Or just light a fire and read.

Good morning. Not raining at least in Lancashire.
Family coming for lunch. Work to do clearing Mum's house this morning too.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.

It's dark and wet in North Leicestershire but doesn't seem too cold. The duvet may have an influence there.

Today, Mum is 93 so I'm off to the nursing home with presents for mum and cake for everyone.

I'd go for option 2 nfk! grin

Good Morning All. I peered out of the window as I got up for my cup of tea. I was just very dark. No further knowledge of the weather.

ninathenana Sun 15-Jan-17 08:18:33

Morning all.
Very grey but dry in N Kent and no longer blowing a gale.
Lazy Sunday for us. Just the roast chicken to cook.

harrigran Sun 15-Jan-17 08:18:57

Good morning, it is milder today and snow has gone. Will visit GC this afternoon, haven't seen them since New Year's eve.

cornergran Sun 15-Jan-17 08:20:36

Morning All. Grey and apparently milder in our corner of Somerset. Grumpy this morning after little sleep sad. Hope your visit goes as well as it can kitty. Not much happening here today, just some soup to make from the more mature vegetables and an apple crumble for pudding later. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

Oh the shame! The shame! I just looked out of the front window at the rain and noticed the wheelie bin still by the side gate.

They collected the rubbish last Tuesday. It has been sitting there all week instead of going in the back garden behind the shed with it's wheelie bin friends. shock

Good morning to you all, dark and damp here on the south coast. Feel I must let you all know about a really kind person yesterday. We went out to the Supermarket (first outing for a week, because of the weather) and as we pulled up in a parking spot a couple pointed out that we had a flat front tyre. There was a nail in it. While I scrabbled for my insurance details, the gentleman had the boot open, the spare wheel out and asked me to get out of the car so that he could change the wheel! He was on his knees in freezing cold conditions, and all was done in the shortest possible time - What about that? I rushed to buy his partner a bunch of flowers before I shopped, and that did me good, it meant I walked a little faster than I have been. I almost forgot the pain in my hip, but had my walking stick for safety. People are kind, but I think that was exceptional.

It's now raining heavily in N Kent
Heartwarming Printmiss made me smile

annsixty Sun 15-Jan-17 08:47:53

Good morning all.
Wet but milder in Stockport, yesterday turned quite sunny although I didn't venture out.
That was a very kind act PRINTMISS. Also pleased to realise your H is driving again.
Nothing doing here today apart from providing food.

Greyduster Sun 15-Jan-17 08:59:53

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Going to be a wet one here in South Yorkshire but it hasn't started yet. GS is supposed to be doing a junior park run this morning. Sooner him than me. They are coming over later for lunch. Braised steak today and pineapple upside down pudding. Printmiss that was a very kind act. A friend and I were going to work in her car one morning when we had a flat. I knew how to change a wheel, and we jacked up the car, but when it came to it, the wheel nuts were so tight we couldn't get them undone. A young man stopped his car and sorted the whole thing out for us. We offered to smother him with kisses, but he declined ?! I don't know what I'd do now; our car doesn't even have a spare wheel! Have a good day folks.

Good morning everyone!
Happy Birthday, kitty's mum! Hope she enjoys her day.
So glad to hear you met a truly good Samaritan, Printmiss.

Cold, damp here but will walk for my 10,000 steps regardless!

DaphneBroon Sun 15-Jan-17 09:04:57

Good Morning everybody, gosh you are all so active so early!! Woke at 8.30 and wa surprised that last night's hard frost and icy roads havevapparently given way to rain! Still feels cold though.
PRINTMISS does that not just restore your faith in human nature! What a kind man smile
Don't go putting all her candles on your mum's cake kittylester will you? You'll set off the care home smoke alarms and they'll all have to be evacuated! Congratulations to her however, she is indomitable tcrsmile

A very late good morning from a cold, wet Colchester. Had a long lie in after a late night. A quiet day in today.
