That well known brand of washing up liquid

I have also noticed it seems thinner and need to use more.
I have switched to Lidls bleach and also use their own washing liquid. Both as good as any other I have used. Will get next lot of washing up liquid there too.

I use Aldi's own. It's great - and cheap

I used to use all Method products (they have them in Waitrose and JL)- smells lovely but usually dearer than anything else- not sure if they are more or less effective.

I bought it in Sainsbury's.

Just had to Google it! Waitrose's equivalent to Eccover? Will try it, it may suit my DD1 and DiL with eczema and asthma.

Has anyone used Method? I started use the surface cleaner because usual ones make me cough. I've found it very good and non cough inducing. And, I love the colours!

We live in a soft water area and it makes a difference. Less detergent in the washing machine too as well as shampoo shower gel etc. In a hard water area you need more of these products. I think you can get water softening devices but I wouldn't know much about them.

I've found that the "flavoured" fairy doesn't do as well as the original thick green one

Will try Lidl then. They are brothers aren't they? The nearest Aldi is a lot of traffic congestion away!

As a long standing supermarket snob I was converted to Aldi by
default when I couldn't get to more expensive brands by injury and I certainly wouldn't go back. Their cleaning products are second to none and the its food mostly measures up to Sainsbury's, my previous venue.

I always use 'D' too Pogs. We don't have an Aldi near here, it's Lidl territory. Are their own brands as good?

Thank you all for the confirmation. I was wondering if it was just another of my memory problems! The really cheap stuff DH bought (Euroshopper?) was only 60p. Half full Fairy price! I wonder what else has sneakily been dumbed down. I shall be comparing toilet roll sizes/squidgyness next shop!

Yes, definitely not the strength it used to be.

I use Fairy Platinum (buy it in Wilko's it cheaper) its concentrated and soaks things well.

Actually I was obsessed a well known bleach, 'D' was the best but I have started to use Aldi's thick bleach.

I like to buy the Co-op's own brand. It is not tested on animals and is as good as any other brand. Aw

Me too! I have always used it ( it really is kind to hands) but am squirting larger amounts all the time now into the bowl.I had thought it was the hard water, but then have often lived in hard water areas, so can't be just that.
Am reluctant to change though, as when staying anywhere else I get sore hands using other brands ( don't like the feel of Marigolds).

I'vve noticed in recent years that I need to use far more Fairy liquid to the same amount of washing-up.

I suppose I only carry on buying it out of habit!

The stuff from Aldi is excellent, better than Fairy!

Fairy used to be the only branded item I bought. Must have been years ago I thought it had lost its oomph. Now use Morning Fresh, two for a pound and does the job. Still write Fairy on the shopping list though!

It would not surprise me. On the occasions I have bought "budget" brands I have realised they are nothing like as concentrated. So I suspect this is an alternative to reducing the size of the bottle. Bah, humbug!
