We have a traveller community not far from where I live and a tesco on my doorstep virtually..mum and daughters all in grubby pj's and grubbier dressing gowns..all with those fake ugg boots.....having said that all are very polite when you say morning and will exchange pleasantries with you...they are all like peas in a pod and beautiful girls, mum and dad very strict with them and you never hear of any trouble with them.My son works permanent nights in Tesco Extra in another town says people shop all the time in pj's...or just pop in for milk bread fags and condoms

I think that it is a fashion statement for most. The press pics and young women I saw were perfectly groomed: hair and make up etc. For many it is a deliberate action not just a "oh buggr I need some milk for breakfast but I'm not dressed' moment!
