Lyrics you hate

I always thought the Sting song was creepy especially when you bear in mind he used to be a teacher!

And we didn't lead the singing, I'd never heard it before - but we did join in!

I agree about Live and Let Die as I always hear it as "world in which we live in" but the lyrics are really "world in which we're living" which makes more sense

Both the tune and the lyrics of Living next door to Alice always struck me as pathetic and maudlin.

The one I find not at all romantic and in fact rather macabre is:

Last Christmas I gev you my heart - love the song but that bit drives me nuts!

"so tonight thank God it's them instead of you" in the BandAid song. Horrible.

Rosesarered- I remember that 'Hey little girl' song - my Mum used to sing it whilst doing the housework. I've loathed it and the message in it for years! DH was playing a Ray Charles cd a couple of weeks and 'Dance Ballerina Dance' has an equally negative message: hadn't really listened to the words before.

I loathe the Happy Song. It's so boring! It doesn't make me at all happy.
