Alone at new year

CassieJ me too but I do not know when I will next see anybody. It does not bother me, Christmas was the same. You are fortunate that you have family even if they are not with you now. If there is nothing for you on TV, have an early night and read a good book. I am lucky that I have retired. I was an only child so I am used to being on my own having been divorced for many years.

Am I the only one on my own for new year's eve? I am truly on my own, just me alone in the house. I will see no one now until Monday.
Most of the time I don't mind, but for some reason finding it harder on new year's eve as all you hear are people going out/ meeting up.

I have moved around the country a lot, so seem to have lost many friends over the years, despite the promises of keeping in touch. I honestly have no friends where I now live. Family all live too far away. Youngest child who does live with me is in Scotland with his dad.
I do work and get on with people there. But I am the only single person [ divorced ] there, so they are all with their families.

Just a bit of a self indulged moan. I wish there was just someone to give me a hug. It is many years since I have had that.
