Good morning everyone!
It's drizzling here in Wiltshire and I'm still coughing ? so looking like New Year is a nonstarter too! At least I've lost 7lbs, and won't mind losing a few more ?
Dd's back from the 'backend of nowhere', coming down tomorrow and we'll have a Christmas for her on Monday, can't wait to see her again after 4 months away ?

Good Morning to NYE and to all friends here. I hope you have a lovely day and an evening of your choice. We shall have a glass and a cuddle and share our cold (him 'flu or possibly Black Plague) germs. wine

Happy New Year's Eve, everybody!

Not going out tonight, thank goodness - had a very hectic big-family week away over Christmas, so glad to be chilling at home. However, have sister and niece from the US, plus their respective blokes, coming to stay for a few nights tomorrow, so have beds to sort out, general tidy up, and food to think of - and one of them is a vegan.
On with hoovering and dusting - must make sure I have glasses on so I can actually see the dust!

Fairly foggy again here in the South East. Travelling on the M25 over the last couple of days Surrey to Buckinghamshire plagued by swirling mists. Out again this evening to friends 8 miles away, hope it's a bit better.

Good morning, and a happy Hogmanay to all of you.

Good morning everybody for the last time in 2016 from my grey corner of N Bucks.
Personally, 2016 has brought us much joy - a new grandson - but in the wider world it has not been a great year. I can't influence that, but I hope that for you all, 2017 will bring good health, NO family problems, NO personal losses, NO crises or other traumas to bring you grief.
And that we will all still be here to say "Good Morning" on 31/12/2017!!

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A damp and dreary start to the day in South Yorkshire. I have to go out and buy some veg for tommorrow and then this afternoon we are going to have lunch with a friend who doesn't do New Year's Eve since her DH died, but likes us still to get together on the day. We spent every NY with them for as long as I can remember. DH and I will probably sit up to see the New Year in and then bed. Whatever you're doing this evening, do enjoy it! ???

Morning all.

It is quite bright and not too cold in North Leicestershire. No one here today or tomorrow except DH and I. No shopping or cooking to do so I'm going to watch all the stuff I've recorded over the Christmas period.

We will not be staying up till midnight but will open our prosecco about 8pm.

Happy 2017 everyone - I enjoy your updates! wine

Good morning to you all, very foggy here still, but promises to lift later on - they said that yesterday! Must shop sometime today, running out of left overs, and an almost empty freezer. Out for a meal with friends tonight, they might come home with us to see the new year in - Has anyone ever "SEEN" the New Year? Enjoy your days.

Good morning everyone.
It is mild, cloudy and windy in my part of the Tyne Valley. Son coming for lunch later, unusual for a Saturday. I've some laundry to finish off, then I'm going to relax and watch TV.
Enjoy your New Year celebrations, whatever you are doing. ???????

ninathenana Sat 31-Dec-16 08:50:38

Morning all.
No fog today in N Kent, yeay ! Just a grey nothingness.
Lazy day for us D and I plan to finally watch Call the Midwife. Dinner will be party bits from the freezer. We will watch Jools Holland tonight, pop a cork at midnight then go straight to bed.

Good morning, grey in Liverpool, not too cold, rosy glow appearing in the sky. grandchildren coming down today. Got a new coat in the sales yesterday so off to the shops looking smart instead of scruffy.

Good morning from London everyone. Dd3 and little family's return flight from Heathrow finally left at 11 last night and safely landed at 2am their time. Still foggy here. Simple evening at our house tonight to welcome the new year but a lot of washing to do beforehand.

Enjoy the last of 2016!

Good morning from France. Cold and foggy, but I think the fog will clear soon, as there is a slight blush of colour showing through. Pretty.

harrigran Sat 31-Dec-16 08:13:34

Good morning, grey, windy and 10 degrees here in the north east. GC coming this afternoon, haven't seen them for two weeks so they will have lots to tell me.

Pittcity Sat 31-Dec-16 08:11:19

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. The fog has lifted and it seems a little warmer.
Booked our Summer holiday yesterday to cheer ourselves up, a river cruise to Budapest.
Going to DD1s today for a family lunch, don't think anyone is planning on staying up until midnight although there will be fireworks around here.

cornergran Sat 31-Dec-16 08:11:15

Morning All. Dark and damp in our corner of Somerset. Plan very little today as the boomerang germs are still with me. At least Mr C seems better today. Hope New Years Eve is good to you.

Morning Mick, morning All

The fog isn't as thick this morning here in Norfolk, but it's still quite misty. Hopefully it'll clear as the day gets up as we postponed our yesterdays visit to DS as it was really quite dense here. It's cold too so hopefully a few of the nasty garden bugs will be meeting their demise. My veggies didn't do at all well!

Good Morning Everyone,
The thick fog seems to be lifting here , but its cold and frosty here in Brackley.
A happy new year to you all.
Mick
