New Years Resolutions

Well I'm thinking about making some new resolutions the important thing is carrying them out. and I haven't been good at that over the last few years.

I'm not a walker but need the exercise of even a small 10 minutes walk. I get so out of breath.

Anyone else need exercise?

Pick my friends like I pick my garden roses, carefully.

Keep sending myself flowers, did it this year and it was satisfying and cheering.

No instant buys online. Into the basket for a day to think if I really need it before purchasing.

Not be as nice. Sometimes I think I am too nice and people take advantage so need to pull that back a little.

I've found nights out on at the club where Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights was made, bingo and quiz nights so I'm off out to that one. A couple of hours out every now and then is definitely on the prescription.

I like the hydrant simile (?). No one should be the hydrant.

I never make any because I would never keep them.

As I have said before, I don't make resolutions - how can you improve on perfection

None, they are an invitation to failure.

I don't mean being too nice to people on here, I mean in RL. I have felt very guilty the last couple of days because I have missed the postlady who has had parcels for me. But I have needed my rest. So I have to think of myself more and others a little less, I am sure she has survived me not being around for two days, I could be on holiday for all she knows.

I'm with ruby I was just sitting here before I read this thread thinking 'you know what Katy, you're too nice'. I rarely say no to anyone or anything even though sometimes I really don't want to do what is being asked of me. I put myself out for a lot of people. Can't think of many who would do the same for me. Oh and I'm going to exercise more and eat less
