I'm not a bargain hunter as I cant stand the crowds in the shops but of course the internet offers many opportunities. I have just bought some Denby pottery which is 40% off which I think is a bargain. Anyone nabbed anything good yet?

Morrisons supermarket are selling 100% cotton bed linen at reduced prices. I got a king sized duvet cover in white with a blue flower pattern and stripes on the reverse for £18 instead of £35 (included two pillow slips), also two fitted sheets and a set of pillow slips at half price today. Well pleased!

I nearly bought a tunic top in M&S this morning, but talked myself out of it. It was being reduced to £16.00. After lunch, had second thoughts and looked it up on line, where it was still priced at £21.00. I have emailed M&S, with not much hope of getting it at the lower price. tchsmile

I cant get to the shops so buy on line, I bought a new parka which was less than half price, Ive also just ordered some new joggers which were half price, just hoping the sizing is good as the last lot I bought in my size were massive!

A 50s retro style Smeg kettle and toaster in bright red. Can't remember how much they were, but they were reduced, I remember that smile Oh, and a new microwave.

4 pairs of soft jogging bottoms from M&S reduced in the sale. 2 For best (when someone comes to the front door) and 2 for slouching around in (and dropping cake crumbs and bits of Christmas chocolate on tchblush)

Never shop if I can help it and didn't venture near a shop at all for Xmas. However, just been to the local butcher and got two beautiful ducks at closing time one normal price, the other free. How wonderful is that. He vacuum packed them for us and they are now freezing. Quack quack!

I'm wearing my half price comfy needlecord dress from East today (went out for brunch with relatives). I also bought two t-shirts from Seasalt (reasonable price on sale and they tend to wear well), under half price jeans from Dash; waiting for a sale jumper and towel from Debenhams and a half price tunic from Adini - all bought on-line but, enough, now I must step away from the laptop!

Got a lovely dress by Précis yesterday reduced from £99 to £35 . Didn't need it but will put it away for a cruise.

I had a prowl round Next yesterday and saw nothing that would have suited - or fitted - me. M&S was better, but the things I liked I don't really need and a bargain isn't a bargain unless it's needed!

Grey parka from Mint Velvet, online in JL sale picked up yesterday, had tried it on before the sale thought it would be in the sale, saved £60, and it is a bargain as I would have bought it if not in sale. Also a Lola Rose bracelet in lovely soft greys and cream half price at £13.

No, I haven't been near a shop since 23 December and as both DC, DDiL and DGC have been staying for most of the last week, I have had no time to even think about shopping online.

I spent an hour in the big city of Launceston this morning and got a half price bra and a nice dress reduced a bit. Maybe I will brave Plymouth next.

I bought 2 pairs of trousers from M&S, reduced to £10 a pair and I will pick them up at my local food store next week. I am waiting for a delivery of a silk duvet with 25% off. It was a good price before so I am very happy. I only hope that it comes as time is marching on.

Well, there's no sign of my Boden stuff being despatched yet and three of the items I ordered are now out of stock. This is all set fair to go the way one of my M & S sales orders did - I ordered 3 lovely lingerie sets and ended up days later with one bra and one pair of knickers, that didn't match tchgrin

My real trip to a real city was good fun, and we had a nice free lunch courtesy of the Tesco Clubcard vouchers, but my bargains consisted of a woolly hat and two bars of scenty soap for me and a teatowel for my present drawer. And I'm already wondering what I can put with a teatowel to make it an acceptable present!

GAP Kids consisted of one sparse and picked-over rail - my GAP store is closing tchshock.

Some lovely Boden padded jackets and camouflage design pants for the three grandsons, 60% off (and another 5% cashback for me). Bought in a variety of colours and sizes, so some will be returned. I had to force myself to check out quickly and leave the website then as they have too many great children's things in the sale.

Off to real shops in a real city tomorrow, but we'll probably just be looking for gifts and cards for next Christmas. I always end up drawn to GAP Kids though...

Electrical goods we needed but nothing lovely to wear; it was so crowded today!

Legs55 Wed 28-Dec-16 18:29:50

Bought a jumper in M & S Outlet shop in December at 40% off. Too ill (& broke) for sales but DD & DGS went out yesterday & got several bargains, DD for baby expected in May & DGS spent his Christmas money. Next at 9 just down the road from DD was fairly quiet which is unusual, normally they're queuing out of the car parktchconfused

Thebeeb Wed 28-Dec-16 18:22:23

Had chuckle at that Spangles brilliant slip up after Christmas!!!

Spangles1963 Wed 28-Dec-16 18:20:35

SKINT! Not skinny! I wish

Spangles1963 Wed 28-Dec-16 18:19:40

I'm pretty skinny after Christmas, but I did manage to buy some tubes of Munchies chocolates, reduced reduced from £1 to 50p,in Wilkinson's. Also,4 selection boxes which were meant to be £3 each for £1.25. That's my sweet supplies sorted for the next month couple of months.tchgrin

Thebeeb Wed 28-Dec-16 18:12:26

Shoes that I've been hunting for, for ages. Real bargain necklace but very like one I have already got and bras that I definitely don't need. Probably on the case tomorrow too. I love a mooch round the sales.

keriku Wed 28-Dec-16 18:01:49

I used my Boots points to get 4 items for free, then used my Debenhams Beauty Card points to get an item which had been £15 for only £2.50! These will all be used as gifts or raffle prizes. I also bought some posh cards for next Christmas
