yup, I'm on the side of leave the decs up ;-) although I think how plain the house looks when they come down.

As always we could live on the contents of the fridge freezer and my 'Christmas shelf' for quite some time !!

We still have 2 more get togethers though before the New Year so I am sure much of it will go .

We have the chocolates to tidy up now.
Although we're having family over on New Year's Day so they can help.

Hope you feel better soon, DaphneBroon, it is miserable; I am at the coughing stage now.

I will leave the decorations up until 12th Night but I do like the minimalist look when they come down again! (Not that this house is ever minimalist! - too much stuff.)

Noooooooooo! Haha......let the magic continue unabated! I like the decs up and at least until 12th night, the house looks bare for a while after we take them down.
I like using up the fridge contents too teetime not sad at all, but practical I think.
Hope you feel better soon Daphne?

My decs never stay up till 12th night. They will come down on 2nd January as usual. The tree lights haven't been on since Boxing day and won't be on again till N Y eve.
What's left of the turkey is tonights stew.
I'm with you Teetime let's get back to normal, what ever that is.

Glad to have the contents of the fridge and freezer to tide us over as I have succumbed to the Christmas lurgy and at least we won't starve. Fortunately I had stripped the beds and done all the sheets and towels after our visitors had gone so that I can keep my germs to myself in the spare room. ???
I know what you mean, but still think the house looks pretty, so I am happy to sit back (or lie) and admire the tree, the lights, candles, and garlands. ???

Yesterday (the day after Boxing Day) I thinned out the decorations, cleaned the fridge and made soup from the vegetables. Really I would quite like to take the rest of the decorations down today but I am trying to last until Sunday - I hate clutter and disorder (borderline OCD) but I quite like the fairy lights. The other thing I like doing is living on the contents of the freezer until its empty then cleaning it and refilling - sad aren't I?
