Ooooh Greyduster you missed a mole...a bloody mole aaagh who has turned my loved garden into something resembling a war zone?.....BUT had a wonderful Christmas day!! Happiness wished for you all ??

Very quiet morning, just me and DH, I have enjoyed a lovely long bubble bath. All a bit bizarre really - this is the first time that we haven't hosted Christmas Day.
Will be leaving soon to spend the day with all of our immediate family at my DS1's house.....will not be at all quiet there!

Every good wish to all of you! We are just waiting now to follow the star to DDs house! The three kings got away lightly compared to the gifts we have to bring (one of which is a three foot bay tree wrapped in Christmas paper). I thought I had got the prize for the most boring present today - I bought DH a new pair of moleskin trousers. He is delighted; I am relieved. It was hard word digging up all those moles!! ?

Happy Christmas everyone. We're in the calm after the storm. Children got up at 7am ...mind you they were warned . Some lovely present opening chaos. Now one is doing a cross stitch and the other is drawing whilst we listen to lovely Christmas music.

Merry Christmas One and All. Santa has dropped into our house too and all is ready for the DDs and DGC in the morning. Time for Bed.

the other Ruby lol, you made me laugh with that. We know how to choose a great name, don't we? We shine!

I've taped the Alan Bennett too, (if my grandad had been called after his father, my dad would have been called Alan Bennett!) So, I can settle down in the next few days and enjoy some quality tele. Going to put Eastenders on now and get some supper.

Wide awake too - partly because I am not in my own comfy bed and partly just because!
DIL has been zooming round like a tornado and assures me that all is done - and go to bed! DGC apparently been warned that 8am is the earliest anyone wants to see them! I wonder how that is going to work?! Am hoping someone creeps in to Granny anyway!

Hope everyone has a good day wherever they are and whether they are on their own or not.

I'm finishing off my sherry and watching Alan Bennett, recorded earlier. DH, DS1 & DGF are all in bed, but there is no point me going as my brain won't calm down, thinking about what has to be done in the morning. There will only be six of us (DGF's parents are joining us) but there is a lot to think about and I'm not good at switching off.
A peaceful and happy day to all at GN, especially anyone still up at this time.
