My neighbour texted last night to ask if she could pop round with gifts for my grandchildren (we are leaving tomorrow to go visit them for Christmas). It's a very kind gesture but now of course I feel I have to reciprocate with gifts for her two grandchildren! We've never exchanged gifts before and I feel guilty and if I'm honest a bit annoyed because I'm going to look a bit mean not having anything for them. I wish she'd forewarned me then I could have been prepared. I really don't think the shops are going to be fun today - that's if I can even find time to get there.
Anyone else had this?

Obviously I've thanked them but I will find some point during the next few weeks to say I only give presents to immediate family and hope no one is offended.
