Morning Mick, morning all!

It is still dark in North Leicestershire but it feels warmish and there is no obvious wind.

Today we have to panic but a small present for DGD4 - her small present has no 'oomph'! I thought my days of trying to 'balance', the number, size and cost of presents were over!! I also have to make a 'jam cake' (Victoria Sandwich!) to take with us tomorrow when we visit DSiL.

This afternoon, a friend and I are opting out and going for a hot chocolate!

Enjoy your Tuesdays everyone! sunshine

Morning All. Another dark and damp start to our corner of Somerset. Beginning to forget what the sunshine looks like. Our 48 hours of minding the older grandchildren begins in less than two hours. Guess I'd better get up! Hope Tuesday is kind to you.

Good morning from damp Wiltshire, it looks like clear skies here so perhaps it's going to be a brighter day today.
I'm feeling restless, need to DO something other than usual stuff. DH says he's starting to clear the attic ?, why the hell do it just before Christmas I don't know!

Good morning Mick and everyone. It is at least dry (so far) but hard to tell what it is going to be like later. Is it the shortest day yet?
Can't believe I slept through until 7.30 this morning - not even disturbed by Gracie who didn't seem to need to go out and in fact neeed real encouragement to leave her warm bed when I went downstairs shortly after 7.30
Just a thought - this time next week it will all be over tchhmm
Have a lovely day everybody!

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It is going to be dry but cold in South Yorkshire today. We are off to Chesterfield this morning, and then I will be baking this afternoon. Just a thought - this time next week it will all be over. Praise the Lord for that, Daphnebroon! grin

Good morning everyone from a grey but clear London. We were very nicely tired by yesterday evening after 2+ days with DS, DDiL and 2 Dgc so slept later than usual this morning. Loved every exhausting moment, however.

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Looks like it will be a bit brighter than yesterday during the short daylight hours.
Waiting in for a delivery so the laundry will get done.

DaphneBroon Tue 20-Dec-16 08:41:16

Oops kittylester!! I was thinking I would be waving bye bye to all the overnight guests, curling up with a coffee/Bailey's/the leftovers and probably feeling thoroughly deflated and miserable!!

Good morning. It's looking a bit brighter in Lancashire today.
The wonderful Father Christmas came to Mum's care home yesterday, he had a jokey chat with every resident and Mum asked him for a kiss. Happiness was spread all around.
loopylou clearing out the attic, my worst nightmare, good luck.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, overcast but mild here. It is DH's birthday and we are waiting for the burglar alarm man to do his annual check, it used to be early November but now he goes for major disruption. Tonight is the Antiquarians Christmas lecture and mulled wine, suitable birthday celebration for DH without me having to lift a finger grin

Good morning to you all, it is a gloomy one here, and very dry still. We have almost finished all that needs to be done for Christmas, taken as twice as long as usual, mainly because I am so slow - very frustrating. Enjoy your days

Brightening up now. Lunch with a friend and then afternoon with another friend I haven't seen for a long while.
