I think that's a very reasonable thing to do.Doesn't have to be anything amazing does it? I would go for something that cooks quickly and easily. Too near the big day for anything ott.

kitty, if you're bonkers, then so am I - 3 or 4 days ago I volunteered to make a Christmas dress for my GD, because the dress my DD thought she'd be using was a bit too small. So a quick dash to the fabric shop on Thursday, pre-washed the fabric and made a start on the sewing yesterday. WHY did I have to choose velvet, a tricky sew, and a particularly fiddly pattern, complete with lining, peter pan collar and invisible zip?
Oh, and I've got three 20" x 16" photo prints to put in frames for my DS as he hasn't got time.
And I want to visit a friend who recently lost her DH.
And I've got all the food shopping to do yet.
And no, I haven't done my gift wrapping yet either. Heaven only knows when that will be done. Roll on Boxing Day

I am down with a bad chest infection though so that's my excuse to do not very much indeed, apart from enjoy. I have been told to rest off my cardiologist too so I'm not one to argue with a big man! Feet up, crack open the chocs, good tele, doggie cuddles, (antibiotics, pain killers, inhalers etc., etc.)sorted.

Bonkers is catching kitty. Always take food and cook it when we visit our poorly friend, or prepare it the day before and take it with us to re-heat. So far it's survived the one and a half hour journey and no one has been poisoned. There is time .

ruby get well soon, it's a so and so isn't it. Why does a virus make your legs shaky too? Every time I try to do anything I have to go and sit down after a few minutes so nothing is getting done here.

kittylester if I send my address would you like to come to me complete with food etc - what a lovely thing to do!
And decorate the tree? Make some mince pies?

Wrapping presents is the Xmas Eve morning ritual over a mug of Mulled Wine or Cider.

You are kind and thoughtful kitty, as usual. Why not buy (or make) something in foil trays that can be thrown away recycled to save on the washing up. That's what I do when I visit my SIL (lazy I know ). Now get on with that wrapping!

Kitty I have just popped in here for a cup of tea and a sit down. Then it's back to straining damson gin, making wine gravy.

Yesterday I suggested OH could finish my round of carpet cleaning by doing the hall carpet. He put it off for about three hours then ran out of time before he went off playing carols.
The vax machine is now out of the bath and with me in the dining room as I type. Does anyone want to lay bets on when he might actually start and finish? Last seen on his computer at 12:35 hrs.

Job finished at about 15:30 hrs just when I got back from the shops. I have just stuck the machine and it's bits in the Wendy House and I will sort it all out in the light in the morning.
OH decided he was going out to the shops but I insisted I was going to Aldi anyway. Without that he probably would not have got it done.

What a compliment that your SiL trusts you and wants you there when she's in a bad way. It just shows what a lovely person you are. Hoist with your own Whatsit
