Good morning to you all, and sad news Nankate. A friend of ours who has been ill for some time has also died, so another family for whom Christmas will never be the same.
We have a dull morning here, in tune with my mood, slept too well, which was great after so many uncomfortable nights, but I am a bit stiff! Can't have everything.

Thanks All for your kind words and support, much appreciated.

Hi everybody, I'm not usually an early bird on g net but Ive lots to do today. For the first time is years Ive made a Christmas cake but its not iced yet so I must put the marzipan on today, I know I'm late but ive been busy with birthday things for dgd. I've been off work with a continuing chest infection and hope I can go back tomorrow so apart from the cake Ive got lots of housework to catch up on. Have a good day everyone

Good morning All. The sun has just started shining over the houses. I have a cake ready to bake when the oven warms up.

I can't have a shower right now it will have to be washdown.
In my bath are several parts of my old VAX carpet cleaner machine. A waste paper bin and an orange bucket filled with old Duplo lego needing a good wash before I pass it on to the grandsons.
As the lego is in the bucket I can't even say I am having a bath in a bucket.
If OH can be bothered I hope he is going to tackle the last two small area of carpets so we can get out it out of the way.

Morning All

A misty, moisty morning just to the west of Aylesbury. Babysat DGDs last night. DD1 is better than she thought she'd be this morning but DSiL is slightly the worse for wear! Now trying to stir ourselves to take DGDs to they're riding lesson. Brings back memories, standing in the cold watching small children trot around in circles!

(((Hugs))) and sympathies to you Nankate flowers

Good morning, it was another mild night. DS's birthday today and we get to celebrate as a family as everyone is back in the UK. Sad time NanKate.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I've no idea what the weather is like this morning - I am too tired to look out. GS was with us last night and was sick several times through the night, poor little chap. I have no idea what caused it. He doesn't seem to have a temperature. He is currently sitting in our bed with grandad watching football. Waiting for DD to come and pick him up. Kate so sorry to hear about your co-gran; not easy for any of you. flowers. Have a happy Sunday, folks.

Good morning everyone! Murky in London as well. Sad for you NanKate but so good that you are able to give support to your DiL and Gc at this time. Hope your evening is a peaceful one as it will be well deserved, Nana3.

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. The fog of the last few days has cleared and it is still mild here.
Christmas is indeed bittersweet, something we all learn as we age. Much love to nankate .

Morning all!

It's another nothingy sort of day by the look of it in North Leicestershire but we are not up properly yet though.

I'm sorry to hear your news Kate - it is so much worse at Christmas. I'm sure you will be a big help with your dgs.

A sad day for you too Nana3 flowers

Dull n grey in N Kent, at least the fog has gone. We're going to see Rouge One (star wars) this afternoon.
My thoughts are with your family kate

Good morning all. Foggy all day yesterday in Lancashire. It matched my mood. Sorry for your family sadness NanKate flowers.
OH is working today so I'm planning to go to the church where we interred Dad's ashes this week, then visit Mum in her care home. The evening should be all mine then.
Hope you all have a good day.

Morning Mick, Kitty', *Nina and all us Earlybirds.

My DS text me last night to say my counter Gran has taken a turn for the worse (she has had terminal cancer for 2 years plus and has battled on bravely) and my DinL is distraught.

This is going to be a difficult Xmas and I suspect many tears. DH and I will concentrate on giving our two young GSs support and making it a good Xmas for them. Not an easy time, but we all have to face losing our loved ones.

Hope you all have a good Sunday.
