Anyone else been doing this? I didn't get the email alert until a few days ago, but I've been hooked ever since and have finally worked out all the clues smile.
If anyone needs extra clues, just ask - you can get entered into a draw to win a year's supply of books!

It took longer than a flash, but I've done them all now. Goodnight. I can go to bed now.

I've had 17 since before this thread started. The others are just plain annoying. I keep thinking they'll come to me in a flash, but no.

I can go to bed now. My DD found the answer site!

Nandalot Thu 15-Dec-16 23:43:02

It's nearly midnight and I am on the last one - the street sign. It is driving me mad!

Beammeupscottie Thu 15-Dec-16 23:14:36

I am doing game B for fun. Cab someone give me a clue to the naked man with a large baguette?

Indinana Thu 15-Dec-16 23:11:25

You're half right merlot - it's green.... followed by another word for street. I tried The Green Mile first too!

Beammeupscottie Thu 15-Dec-16 23:09:02

Try The Green Way. I forget what I put in now!

merlotgran Thu 15-Dec-16 23:00:07

Emerald Street anyone?

I thought it was The Green Mile but Nope!

Beammeupscottie Thu 15-Dec-16 22:34:28

A book written by a women with the name as a fashion model!

annodomini Thu 15-Dec-16 20:33:32

I found it on Facebook and did some of the clues then I lost it again!

Indinana Thu 15-Dec-16 19:43:48

No - it's not Greek. I wasted time on that too, but if you zoom in you'll see it's not Greek at all. It represents something else. Big clue: there's one at Hampton Court!

Treebee Thu 15-Dec-16 19:36:05

Brilliant, gravedigger one solved!
How about the Go This Way one? In the Greek font a clue?

Indinana Thu 15-Dec-16 18:52:28

Grannaby the paradise one - think of another name for paradise and where you would be (i.e. Which compass point) if you needed to go west to get there.
Go this way - enlarge the picture and have a look at the surround. What is it? Think of synonyms.

Indinana Thu 15-Dec-16 18:47:21

Gravedigger had me stumped for ages. Ok, clue: what if the gravediggers aren't burying someone, but doing the opposite? And what do you call the dead people?
And I was just about to give a clue about the Suez Canal one, but I see
beammeupscottie has practically given it away, lol grin

Beammeupscottie Thu 15-Dec-16 13:19:28

Done it.

The suez canal is a passage to .........

Grannaby Thu 15-Dec-16 13:10:48

Yay I've got there!!!

merlotgran a clue for you: you have to "pass through" the suez canal, make that a noun and I think you will get it!

merlotgran Thu 15-Dec-16 09:51:30

The Suez one has me stumped as well. I've been thinking Red Sea must be in the title somewhere but even browsing Amazon hasn't helped.

Grannaby Thu 15-Dec-16 09:44:00

still wasting time - not even dressed yet, no but have only one to go!

Grannaby Thu 15-Dec-16 08:46:22

This is sooooo frustrating! I have got up to 15 but am now completely stuck. Have had a few lucky guesses but yes I am stuck on the gravedigger, the right of way sign and probably oh so easy for some, the paradise one, the go this way, and suez. I'm sure they are all so obvious when I eventually get there, but I am feeling really stupid right now!!

Thanks for the link Indinana at least it's got the brain cogs moving!

Greyduster Thu 15-Dec-16 07:02:01

I got eleven of them and then my iPad kept freezing! Too early for its poor brain (or mine!) ?

merlotgran Wed 14-Dec-16 22:54:54

I'm up to thirteen. Brain ache setting in.

chelseababy Wed 14-Dec-16 20:45:37

Just started this.....might take some time!

merlotgran Wed 14-Dec-16 20:30:36

I'm stuck on ten as well. Gissa clue for the gravedigger?

Treebee Wed 14-Dec-16 19:11:15

Ah, thanks for the priority sign one, I now have 14.
Clue for the gravedigger one please?

Indinana Tue 13-Dec-16 20:08:58

Cari that's how I was - I was on a roll for the first dozen or so and then ground to a halt for a while. Got there in the end though with a bit of perseverance and lateral thinking!
