No not food. My indulgence is having my nails done, I went today and she was giving everyone some glitter. I went for a stronger colour than normal, and I am so pleased with them! See photo.

Great colour. D does mine (qualified) when I can pin her down grin

Lovely Nonna Will they last till Christmas? I also like painting my nails at this time of the year for some reason. Haven't tried blue but along with the glitter that looks great!

How do you manage to do anything with those? I keep my nails very short as I hate wearing gloves and am always pottering in the garden. I admire people who look after their appearance, I am too lazy most of the time tchblush! Your hands are very glamorous tchenvy.

TBH they are longer than usual. I wish I could grow my own but unfortunately they tend to split so at present I'm having 'false'. I normally tend to just have white tips so I'm experimenting with colour

They look lovely I'm jealous. Mine are kept short as I do a lot of gardening and other stuff that would just ruin those lovely nails. I paint mine and within a few hours its already chipped..

I have just painted mine silver, looked lovely until I put my glasses on and saw where I have missed!!

Lovely

Rinouchka Fri 09-Dec-16 19:14:55

Wow! Very envious. Love the colour!

NonnaW Fri 09-Dec-16 19:24:42

Trust me when I paint my own nails they chip within hours, mysteriously even when I've done nothing!

Kittye Fri 09-Dec-16 20:15:05

Unless I have shellac or gel I can't even reach home without smudging or chipping the polish. I used to have lovely strong nails but nowadays they split or flake

LadyGracie Fri 09-Dec-16 20:54:54

Beautiful nails, love the colour

wot Fri 09-Dec-16 21:17:10

They look gorgeous!

Auntieflo Fri 09-Dec-16 22:32:21

I am so jealous, they are beautiful ?

Luckygirl Fri 09-Dec-16 22:37:54

Long nails? - no thanks. Mine are chopped right off - I can play the piano and cuddle my GC without risking scratching them! - more important to me than "beautiful" nails! If I were to be strictly honest (ducks behind parapet), I really do hate these painted talons - sorry, not my bag at all. Each to their own!

I hope you never need to insert a suppository! grin

My Shellac nails are my indulgence also - appointment next Tuesday smile
I usually get a coffee nude shade which goes with everything but might get a nice dark berry colour for Christmas. Mine last without any damage easily for 4 weeks.
Come January I will give them a rest and be au natural for a few months to give them a rest, just using a clear ordinary home polish.

There is no way I could cope with posh nails. I like mine as short as possible. How do you cook or garden with nails like that?
When I had mine done before DDs wedding I want home and straight away slightly scraped mine peeling a a carrot. The few times I have worn nail varnish I find I don't like the feel of it on my nails.
Kittye does wearing false nails not damage the underlying bare nail. Surely they are supposed to breath.
Nail varnish and remover are very strong chemicals.

I think they look lovely. I have a thing about nail polish, I hardly wear any make up but nail polish is ny thing. I always have my finger and toe nails painted. I have never had them done properly though, I just do it myself, and my nails are not so long like yours.

I do my fingernails every night though after my bath, it only takes a few minutes, and I like to ring the changes with the colours. One night I pained five different colours just messing about really but it looked great smile.

I think though yours are going to be very special for the coming time of year if you have Christmassy things to do. I don't so will keep on doing my own for now.

These look lovely Nonna. I have just made an appointment to get my nails done for the New Year and I was considering getting them painted a darker shade. I will now I have seen yours.

Just painted mine with a glitter varnish - don't normally like my nails painted but I am going to Christmas Party. Feeling a bit dreary so this has perked me up a bit.
