Free gifts from Amazon

When someone buys off an Amazon wish list the recipient gets an invoice wishing them joy in their gift, the invoice will also be without the price listed. If you did not have a wish list with these items on then it is safe to assume it was sent in error.

I've often seen reviews stating that they received the product free and always wonder why I never get anything like that, despite spending quite a lot of money on Amazon over the years. sad

Amazon do send out freebies so that people can give a supposedly honest opinion and be able to keep the freebie. Who is chosen I have no idea.

I think that yours is a genuine gift because one cannot trial an evening bag!

When he has done it before it always says it is from him and his family and also a message such as Happy Birthday etc.
I shall just see if anyone owns up!

(what I mean is your DS has ordered it for you!)

I have never heard of this. It sounds as though someone (maybe your DS) has sent it to you - the slip is just advertising where it's come from.

Is this just me being suspicious?
This morning a parcel arrived from Amazon and I was not too surprised even though I had not ordered anything as DS sometimes sends things that way. Inside was a Thinsulate hat and glove set and a sequin and beaded evening bag. No easily seen message showing who sent them but a slip similar to a bill which I needed to use the magnifying glass to read! The items were listed and the message - we hope you like your gift from Amazon.

I have put them all back in the box to await events! I recently agreed (accidentally) to try Prime for a month - said I did not want it after that - do you think this is the reason? Has anyone else had experience of this?
