I'm all for dunking its my guilty pleasure but never in front of anyone as there is every chance I will loose my biscuit in the drink

I am an unapologetic dunker of longstanding. The best are ginger nuts with tea and rich tea biscuits, also with tea.Have never dunked into coffee, that would be absurd [haha]

I love biscotti ?

"Without" dunking....

Rinouchka Sun 04-Dec-16 17:23:05

Yes! Biscotti/cantucci should not be munched with dunking. However, you could dunk them in Vin Santo or other alcoholic drink, especially at Christmastime!

Only dunk biscotti in coffee.

You'd break your teeth otherwise grin

Well I wouldn't dunk in front of company!!

Rinouchka Sun 04-Dec-16 17:08:46

Oooh yes to dunking! You can't get more stylish than Romans and they have special dunking biscuits called "cantucci".

Slurping is rude, dunking can be very stylish...and fun. Ignore/correct your friend who is too uptight (à la Mrs. Bucket)!

I think we had a thread about this recently, but anyway I'm happy to reiterate that I hate dunking and have never done it! smile

Yesterday my best friend came for a cuppa and I dunked a biscuit in my cup of tea....my friend was shocked and stated that she thinks its bad manners and quite common haha!! We did laugh about it and I shall still dunk and she never ever will...what do gransnetters think??
