Favourite cuppa

I drink green tea with lemon. It's really refreshing, even when it's gone cold!
Different makes do taste differently, I prefer the Clipper brand.

My lovely friend who is Chinese swears by green tea and says it has many health benefits. I am trying hard to like it. I enjoy jasmine tea though but for a change, not all the time. I'm off coffee at the moment.

I prefer pure Assam, don't mind which brand. I also like Aldi Lemon and Ginger.

For everyday cuppas I love Yorkshire Gold which I discovered recently after years of PG Tips.
If I'm feeling like something a little more delicate I like Twinings Earl Grey or Lady Grey.

We have Sainsbury's red label. I am up much earlier than my husband so never get a cup of tea in bed!

A coffee pod of Americano at breakfast and mid morning but a peppermint tea in the afternoon. I had peppermint tea at a hotel for the first time last year and it was very smooth and made with loose leaf tea; the teapig teabags [I can't find loose peppermint tea] just don't taste the same but it is a soothing drink. I drink 'ordinary' tea after supper though - waitrose own brand and find them really nice.

A cup of builders tea at breakfast to get me going and then either green lemon or jasmine through the day. I really miss my cup of tea in bed which DH used to bring me most mornings. It's not quite the same when you have to get it yourself

I think it may be because the heat goes out through the bone china faster than through thicker earthenware, which effects the taste. But don't take my word for it.

Yes! tea really does taste better in bone china. Anybody know why? I really love my tea in a bone china cup & saucer & I also love the sound of tea being poured from a teapot, in the garden on a beautiful summer day with cricket on the radio. Reminds me. of my Dad.
However in the rea world I have English Breakfast from a large bone chine mug. Of to get one now, this is driving me crazy.

Cassandra Yorkshire curd tart sounds wonderful. I have had a Welsh rarebit, followed by a delicious gateau with a glass of fruity white wine at Betty's, whilst a pianist played for us. What a memorable occasion that was.

Typhoo decaff. And strangely, I've had it with sugar most of my life but recently it's been too sweet so now have it without and enjoy it.

I never drink Tea, I like strong coffee. DH wont have anything except Yorkshire tea

Yorkshire tea here. I don't drink coffee or much Alcohol come to that so I am not going to stint on buying a decent brand of tea. I had to stop OH buying Saintsbury's red table.

Yorkshire tea - as Yorkshire is where I grew up - and one teabag makes two strong mugfuls.Decent sized, china mug essential!

However, if back in Yorkshire, I may also treat myself and a friend later in the day to afternoon tea at Betty's with their own blend of tea and a proper, Yorkshire curd tart.

P.S. If anyone has a good, authentic curd tart recipe from God's own county, please post!

I have green tea first thing then decaf tea with meals over day also decaf coffee.a couple times a day use tesco tea and Aldi coffee

Yorkshire tea

I hate coffe, just the smell will drive me away. I drink twinings breakfast tea and assam mixed together. I think the water where you live changes the taste so different teas are best in different areas. Yorkshire tea is no good here as it is for hard water, we have very soft water.

Didn't know you could still get 99 tea. I always drank it until I couldn't get it any more. Have to do with Tetley's.
My friend keeps serving me Earl Grey, which I hate, but I don't want to hurt her feelings.

Earl grey during the day, but love a Tesco's vanilla chai latte last thing at night- bliss!

I have Tesco own brand tea and I drink a lot of it, in a china mug. I've had to cut down due to bladder issues but still drink 6 or 7 cups a day. I don't drink much coffee but occasional instant or filter at home but never drink it in a coffee shop, it's always too strong and bitter for me.

Yorkshire or Clipper decaff. for me and I too love my "Teasmade".

You said "cuppa" but please can I mention two? Peppermint tea (brilliant for starting the day - DH brings me one every morning) and M&S decaff instant coffee. The latter is the very best of the instant decaffs we've tried - and it's Fair Trade.

My day starts with a mug of tea made by my lovely husband. We only use Punjana (a small Irish company); their tea is strong and flavourful and one of their teabags is perfect for our little teapot and small china mugs. Probably have another couple of cups during the day.

We usually have instant coffee (Cap Colombie, can't remember who makes it) but our ground coffee of choice is Tesco's own-brand French - good and strong, with hot milk.
