A chilly good morning from my part of Somerset too. Not sorry that today's lunch with friends has been cancelled. Thinking of mounting an expedition to buy sheepskin slippers instead! (Hate my 80s house built on solid concrete foundations, might as well be a block of ice!)

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. wall to wall sunshine this morning in South Yorkshire, and we are late risers. DH's eye is a bit better and we both managed to get some sleep last night. Shopping and domestics this morning, and then I must find the Christmas cards I bought in January and put away in a 'safe place' . kupari I used to enjoy shopping in Northallerton when we visited DS in Bedale. There was an amazing delicattesan there.

Good morning from a cold and frosty Colchester. Well below zero here. The bin man is having to dislodge bags that have frozen together and there is much scraping of cars. Putting on the fleece lined tights that I bought yesterday under many layers and going into town for Wednesday coffee.

The frost we had at 4am has disappeared and it is cloudy but still chilly in Stockport. A treat for me today as my GD {18 now) has a day off college and rang last night to see if we could have lunch out together. S will be on hand to keep an eye on things here so I can go.

Good Morning all I woke up far to early today. Frosty here now but just having had a look at the Met office weather maps it is -1C in Cheshire, in Swindon -3C but +7C up in Lerwick in the Shetlands and +9C in Stornoway. Our weather is upside down.

The first frost of the season hit N Kent last night. I expect it's finished of the few flowers that were left in the garden.

The sun is just about to rise over the Tyne Valley. Journey home from work seemed extra busy today. It's dry and fairly mild at 6°c. I've come back to bed as I'm e,tea tired and achy this morning.

Morning All. Dark and frosty in our corner of Somerset. Some tidying to do from yesterday's family tea. Lovely to have them here but messy bunch, can't think where they get it from . We have had a really hard frost overnight in North Leicestershire. I have a fasting blood test appointment this morning and am dying for a drink of tea. School run in Derby this afternoon.

Going to the 'Let it Snow' Christmas Concert tonight at the local U.R. church this evening. This always marks the start of Xmas on our calendar.
